The '90s are hot. Especially '90s hip-hop. And the Fu-Schnickens are one of the overlooked groups of that era. Case-in-point: They weren't even in the running for MTV's Greatest Hip-Hop Groups of All-Time debate.
They jumped on the kung-fu tip years before the Wu-Tang Clan, and even featured then Orlando Magic's Shaquille O'Neal on one of their singles. But when it comes to style, their best video was "La Schmoove." Check out the head-to-toe lime green denim outfit, the blinding fluorescents, flat-tops, and Phife of A Tribe Called Quest's tie-hat. Yes, at the time, they were all cool.
Consummate MTV music fans obsessively covering pop music, pop videos, pop stars, and pop culture from MTV headquarters in New York. Plus, trends, LOLs and stuff we love.
