Ingrid Michaelson's one of those intensely confessional and super relatable singer-songwriters whose lyrics often feel like they were ripped right from the pages of your very own journal. In her new video "Ghost," from Ingrid's upcoming fourth album Human Again, the New York-based indie-pop songstress actually becomes that journal, as each line of the beautifully heartache-y song shows up scrawled across her body.
Directed by Ingrid herself, the video takes us through a series of gorgeous black-and-white photographs in which "Ghost" lyrics appear handwritten on her palms, arms, shoulders, back, neck, chest and face. The penmanship's girly and sweet -- crooked cursive, flowery script and old-school bubble letters -- and the only color comes from the roughly doodled Valentine-red hearts that get superimposed over Ingrid's mouth. It's the perfect treatment for such a stark, intimate tearjerker of a song (and the first single from Human Again, due out Jan. 24). And when the video's fast-changing frames set "Ghost"'s choked-up refrain ("I'm broken down the middle of my heart/You know you make me a ghost") to shots of Ingrid in her nerdy/foxy black-rimmed glasses, it just begs the question, "What kind of jerk could ever do this cutie pie wrong?" Sigh.

Female folk-pop fans -- Mandy Moore, Yael Naim, Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Brandi Carlile (you know = "smart-girl songwriters") -- please assure me that the tremendously talented Amie Miriello is already on your radar. Yes? Good. Did we not tell you about her back in August, right before she released her album, I Came Around? Indeed we did.
So, Amie Miriello just released a brand-new video entitled... "Brand New," directed by Chris Berkenkamp, and it's an artful series of summer snapshots and memories wrapped around a hypnotically sensual chorus that'll make you yearn for a couple of reckless summer flings, no matter how dysfunctional. And yes, that is Nick Lachey.
(Oh yeah, and David Archuleta fans -- Amie's on Team Archie too since they toured together earlier this year. But you knew that.)

These days, everyone who's anyone is partying over in the Twitterverse (bonus -- you don't even have to leave your couch!), and celebs are no exception. Also, if you don't know what Twitter is, a.) Seriously?!, and b.) Watch this.
Anyway, we here at Buzzworthy love Twitter because, well, we Tweet! But also, we love Twitter because the sheer entertainment value of following your favorite celeb CANNOT be overlooked. We've laughed, we've cried, we've poked our eyes out (after reading John Mayer's penis-falling-asleep Tweet) and attempted to set our keyboards on fire (ENERGY!). But we always come back for more.
So, herewith is our roundup of our favorite, must-follow celebrities who Twitter.
CLASS A CRAZIES: This group includes the "must-follows" -- the celebrities whose Tweets are so friggin' BANOODLES you simply cannot miss them.
+ Diddy (@iamdiddy) -- If you follow NO ONE else on this list, please, please, please follow Diddy. (LET'S GO, PEOPLE!)
+ MC Hammer (@MCHammer) -- Apparently he was hiding an early adopter in those glittery Hammer pants!
+ Shaqille O'Neill (@THE_REAL_SHAQ) -- Shaq lives in Twitteronia.
+ Snoop Dogg (@snoopdogg) -- His "izzle" talk just slays me every time. Occassionally Tweets while toking.
+ Steve Buscemi (@steve_buscemi) -- He hates penguins!
+ Solange Knowles (@solangeknowles) -- Love Solange, but when is she NOT Twittering. I think she's the sole reason Twitter keeps crashing.
+ Xzibit (@mrxtothaz)
+ Ryan Seacrest (@RyanSeacrest) -- Dude Tweets DURING COMMERCIAL BREAKS of American Idol! HOW IS THAT EVEN ALLOWED?
+ Lily Allen (@lilyroseallen) -- Lily still kinda hates Perez Hilton, and they are FOREVER back-and-forthing forever on Twitter.
+ Heidi Montag (@montagheidi) -- I swear to the Lord, you will S--T when you see how many of Heidi's Tweets are about Jesus!
+ Spencer Pratt (@prattspencer) -- Sometimes he's on the Bible train too, and he once even compared himself to Jesus. Epic.
FAMOUS BUT KINDA BORING: This group is dependable though almost never shocking. But they're all famous, so they've usually got somewhat interesting things to say. Just don't expect ALL CAPS Diddy rants or Lily Allen vs. Perez Hilton feuds):
+ Britney Spears (@britneyspears) -- Sometimes Britney's team posts for her, but this is still a good one.
+ Selena Gomez (@selenagomez) -- Yay, Selena!
+ Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) -- Demi and Selena leave each other little Twitter notes. 'Scute!
+ Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) -- W00t Taylor! Predictably, Taylor Swift's Tweets are sweet.
+ Dave Matthews (@davejmatthews)
+ Soulja Boy Tell 'Em (@souljaboytellem) -- Mostly Soulja wants you to click on shiz for him and make him more famous. Soulja Boy also Tweets his beef with 50 Cent. (That was one of the weirdest sentences I've ever typed.)
+ Dave Navarro (@davenavarro6767) -- Tweets about being bored and playing video games. Fair enough, we say!
+ John Mayer (@johncmayer) -- He's become a bit of a mad Twitterer lately, and I'm actually a little tempted to move him to the above category. He once Tweeted about his penis falling asleep.
+ Sara Bareilles (@SaraBareilles) -- Sara Bareilles really needs to Twitter more.
+ Mark Hoppus (@markhoppus) -- He's been Tweeting about blink's new album a lot.
+ A Cursive Memory (@acursivememory) -- They really need to Tweet more.
+ Simon Curtis (@simoncurtis) -- Yay! We LOVE Simon Curtis! Posts fun pix of his trips.
+ Regina Spektor (@reginaspektor)
+ Liam Gallagher (@liamgallagher) -- Surprisingly, this feed is not so crazy. Bummer.
+ LeAnn Rimes (@leannrimes)
+ DJ AM (@DJ_AM)
+ REM (@remhq)
+ Duran Duran (@duranduran) -- Yes, they ARE still around!
+ Nick Cannon (@nickcannon4real) -- Mr. Mariah Carey is livin' large in the Twitterverse too.
+ William Beckett (@billbeckett)
+ Bjork (@bjork) -- Hers are crappy, unfortunately.
+ Four Year Strong (@fys)
+ Janelle Monae (@janellemonae)
+ Katy Perry (@katyperry) -- More exciting IRL than on Twitter. Oh wells.
+ Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) -- Ditto. Lady Gaga's Twitter sorta reeks of label Tweeting.
+ Ingrid Michaelson (@ingridmusic) -- Hers are cool and make me wanna hang out with her even more than I already do.
+ Cinema Bizarre (@cinemabizarre) -- Lady Gaga's German tourmates are also Twittering!
More celebrities on Twitter after the jump!

We've always loved Sara Bareilles' lovely, lilting Sarah McLachlan-like voice. And her latest video, "Winter Song" -- an adorable animated short featuring indie-pop singer Ingrid Michaelson -- is a celebration of friendship, a lament of love lost, and a reminder that sometimes the saddest melodies are also the sweetest.
Check it out, listen up for the beautifully harmonies (think Indigo Girls, but softer, silkier and less controlled) and watch as the girls' rosy-cheeked avatars lean on one another to get through a long, cold winter -- by looking ahead to spring.

There are like 18 brillion videos eligible for a spot on the Video of the Year nominee leaderboard, and I sure as shoot ain't got time to talk you through each of them. Do that on your own time and your own dime, okay? But since this is such a maje category, here's a look at 20 standouts. Vote now! You only gots a few more hours, and after that, you've only got regret.
Oh, and don't miss this Friday's installation (like that? it sounds like a work of art) of FNMTV to see who the final nominees are.
+ 50 Cent featuring Justin Timberlake, "Ayo Technology" -- A glossy, Bond-meets-Bourne video that looks really cool but, I think, is basically about switching cell providers or something.
+ Ashlee Simpson, "Outta My Head" -- Surrealism and Santogold songwriting! Sweet!
+ Alicia Keys, "Like You'll Never See Me Again" -- Serious. Bawl. Sesh.
+ Boys Like Girls, "Thunder" -- I so did not go to high school or high school parties with guys this hot.
+ Common, "Drivin' Me Wild" -- You dressed up Lily Allen as an astronaut because you are awesome, and you look extra hot in a white tux because you are extra hot.
+ Erykah Badu, "Honey" -- Viva la mom and pop y la homage!
+ Foo Fighters, "Long Road to Ruin" -- Ohhhhhhhh Dave Grohl. When oh when oh when will you finally realize we're meant to be together? Oh wait, sorry. This is supposed to be about the video, right? Right. That rules too. (I LOVE YOU, DAVE!!!!!)
+ Ingrid Michaelson, "The Way I Am" -- Weren't scared of clowns before? You are now.
+ Jonas Brothers, "Burnin' Up" -- The JBs get all action-adventure on us. (And after chasing them around for two days, their video's starting to feel less like satire, more verite.)
+ Last Shadow Puppets, "The Age of the Understatement" -- Cold! Grey! Soviet!
+ Missy Elliott, "Ching-A-Ling" -- 3D's cool, but now my heady hurty.
+ No Age, "Eraser" -- Heady, confusing, beautiful.
+ N.E.R.D., "Everyone Nose" -- Livin' la video Lohan! (But remember... this is not a song "about" cocaine ... it's about... people... who do cocaine.)
+ Panic At the Disco, "Nine In the Afternoon -- Crazy 'staches, papier-mâché fishies, dudes in those olde-tymey onesies.
+ Paramore, "crushcrushcrush" -- Something is seriously wrong with the world if these guys (and girl) don't get nominated. I will blame you.
+ Phantom Planet, "Do the Panic" -- California... wait... did we make a wrong turn back there?
+ Pussycat Dolls, "When I Grow Up" -- Boobies! Groupies! Groupie boobies!
+ Tally Hall, "Good Day" -- Adorkable!
+ Vanessa Hudgens, "Sneakernight" -- Mama needs a new pairah shoes!
+ Weezer, "Pork and Beans" -- UhDUH.
You already know that we heart Ingrid Michaelson's "The Way I Am" (aka "that sweater song" from the Old Navy commercial that was all over the place a few months ago), and apparently we aren't the only ones who have fallen in love with it. The song peaked at #37 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and Ingrid's self-released album, Girls and Boys, cracked the Billboard 200 album chart. Not bad for a 26-year-old indie artist who still lives with her parents in Staten Island, N.Y.
Now there's a video -- yay! And although we have a completely abnormal phobia of clowns -- don't ask -- we can't stop watching it. We imagine this is what prom night would be like if it were hosted by Panic! At the Disco and The Dresden Dolls. Plus, the song's just so damn catchy. Check it out and tell us what you think…

Has anyone else fallen in love with that "sweater song" in the new Old Navy commercial? Whenever we see that ad, we're overwhelmed by the need to sing along. Anyway, it's "The Way I Am" by NYC indie artist Ingrid Michaelson, who rocks the Lisa Loeb look. (You may have also heard her songs on shows like Grey's Anatomy and One Tree Hill.) The spot only uses the snippet of the love song that mentions sweaters but our favorite lyric is actually "I'd buy you Rogaine if you start losing all your hair." Now that's true love.
