Obsessively blogging about pop music, pop videos, pop stars, and pop culture from inside the MTV headquarters in Times Square. We also have a slight Jonas Brothers problem. And a little fixation with Tokio Hotel.
The best part about this brand-new prom video that The Veronicas just sent us is their use of the phrase "hoochie mama." Sometimes I forget about that phrase, yet it's a classic that never gets old, and I'm glad someone reminded me.
Check out Jess and Lisa's prom memories and tips in this exclusive Buzzworthy prom video, and if you've already gone out and bought a hoochie ensemble, hopefully you've got time to return it. Happy promin'!
+ Plus: Watch The Veronicas' "Take Me On The Floor" live in Melbourne, after the jump!
On Tuesday, February 24, The Veronicas (joined by openers Metro Station) took Melbourne's Palais Theatre, the latest stop on their Revenge Is Sweeter tour, by storm. Hitting every note amid a throng of thrashing back-up dancers, they so electrified the sold-out crowd that, at times, their vocals were inaudible over a chorus of singing fans. It was the kind of night that inspired an Aussie website to declare this year's Veronicas' performances to be "the most frenetic of their lives."
Lucky for us, what happened in Melbourne doesn't have to stay there! A dedicated camera crew captured every suggestive shimmy of their famously lusty rager, "Take Me On The Floor," in high definition. Caught their mesmerizing light show, too!
Now see which song is their favorite song they've ever written and why, and find out how they defend themselves against potential stabbers -- Eek!

Watch them put a somber new spin on their former tourmates the Jonas Brothers' "Burnin' Up" -- it's very Tegan & Sara meets "Losing My Religion," and I love the new twist on the "high heels/ red dress" lyrics -- on Yahoo Music's Pepsi Smash Cover Art series.
