Apparently Chris Brown isn't totally persona non grata in the music biz. He's still got a record deal and a brand-new video, "I Can Transform Ya," from his upcoming album, Graffiti. And he's still got friends willing to work with him -- Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz on the track, and Joseph Kahn, who directed Britney's "Womanizer" video and Lady Gaga's "Love Game."

So, are time and a slick, Daft Punk-leaning dance jam enough to forgive Chris Brown of the crimes of his past, or a time machine and an "undo" button the only thing that could allow you to listen to the once-prince of R&B's music -- including his new video -- in good conscience?

Obviously your new favorite video is Katy Perry's "Waking Up In Vegas," and you worshiped at the sequin-studded altar of Katy Perry when she dressed up like Elvis for her "Waking Up In Vegas" performance on American Idol last night. And you're even planning a Katy Perry tour of Vegas this summer (and by "you," I of course mean "me," but you're welcome to come along!) based on the video -- first stop, The Palms (the site of the 2007 MTV VMAs, AKA, "The Britney VMAs"). Then on to Fremont Street, where Katy Perry throws her "Waking Up In Vegas" parade of extravagance. So, odds are (get it?) it's time for MORE Katy Perry and MORE "Waking Up In Vegas."

Go behind the scenes of "Waking Up In Vegas" with Katy Perry, Joel Moore (the guy who plays her date), and director Joseph Kahn (Britney's go-to guy who directed "Womanizer," and "Toxic" as well as Eminem's "Without Me," and "We Made You" videos), and see why Katy chose Joel Moore for the male lead, which of Katy's many costumes is her favorite, and check out her impressive wig collection and gorgeous red Bob Mackie dress. Plus, watch Katy beat pro poker player Daniel Negreanu (good job, Katy!!), and get Katy's "Mo' Money Mo' Problems" take on Vegas and relationships and getting kinda-married in Vegas.

The unstoppable, unsinkable, unflappable Katy Perry just released her latest video, "Waking Up In Vegas," which details the story of a wild, sleepless night in the city that really REALLY never sleeps.

So wake up, ante up, and find out five things very important things you need to know about Katy Perry's latest video.

1.) "Waking Up In Vegas" was directed by accomplished director Joseph Kahn, who's pretty much Britney Spears' go-to video guy. Joseph Kahn directed Britney's  "Womanizer" video, as well as "Stronger," and "Toxic." He directed Eminem's "Without Me" video, which won him a Grammy in 2002 as well as a 2002 VMA, and he directed Eminem's "We Made You" video.

2.) You're probably like "I know that guy in the video, but I don't know his name! Who IS that guy?" The guy in Katy Perry's "Waking Up In Vegas" video is an actor named Joel David Moore, and aside from roles on Six Feet Under, House, and Bones, Joel David Moore's also been in Dodgeball and will star in the upcoming movie, Avatar. He's also been in about a zillion commercials (basically, he's "that guy"), including that singing "Do It eBay" commercial.

3.) "Waking Up In Vegas" was filmed at The Palms Resort. Other videos filmed there include (ahem), Gym Class Heroes' "Clothes Off" video, as well as Eminem's "We Made You." Teairra Mari and Flo Rida just filmed "Cause A Scene" at the Palms, The Real World: Las Vegas was filmed there all the way back in 2002, and the Palms was also the location of the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, which is where Britney Spears, well, you probably know how that went.

4.) The two guys Katy kicks out of her hotel room are Vegas magicians/ comedy staples Penn and Teller -- Penn's the tall one, and Teller's the one who rarely speaks. They also appeared in Run D.M.C.'s "It's Tricky" video back in the day. You've also probably heard Penn without realizing it -- he does lots of voiceover work for Comedy Central. There's also a poker pro in the video -- the guy Katy beats is real-life poker champ Daniel Negreanu.

5.) In the video, Katy wears real vintage costumes from Bob Mackie's personal collection. For the glam-oblivious, Bob Mackie is the esteemed fashion designer behind some of the most sequined, spangled, bejeweled, bedangled and outrageous costumes in the history of fashion. Remember the black feathered headdress Cher wore to the 1986 Oscars? That's Bob Mackie. (And if you still need them, check out more examples of glamourness -- ex-glam-ples?)

+ Now, watch the video. And remember: Always bet on black. (Or is it red?)

+ Plus, "Womanizer" director Joseph Kahn dishes the dirt on the man-candy in Spears' latest video. "Brandon Stoughton (above) took it very seriously," Kahn says. "He would come up with ideas." Wait, you mean like that photocopier makeout sesh?? Because that was, like, GENIUS. (MTV News)

+ Zac Efron turns 21 years old tomorrow, but says he'll be keeping things low-key. "I'm sure I'll have fun, but we're not going to go big," he told reporters. Good thinking, Zac! Besides, that whole renting-out-Disneyland-and-charging-$250-a-head thing? It's already been done. (Usmagazine.com)

+ Meanwhile, Aundrea Fimbres and Day26 aren't gonna let the absence of Ebony & Ivory destroy what's left of DK. (Remote Control)

+ Travis Barker wasn't the only one who got a shout-out at Jay-Z and DJ AM's show the other night. Hova also gave it up for the Maverick! Which is to say he dedicated his song "99 Problems" to John McCain. (Rolling Stone)

We always heard revenge was a dish best served cold. That is, until Britney Spears cranked up the heat on her mercury-busting new video, "Womanizer."

Perhaps you saw the new video on 20/20 tonight, but you definitely didn't see the three-time VMA winner get as nasty, naughty, and naked as she gets in this too-hot-for-network-TV director's cut version of her "Womanizer" video, off her upcoming studio album, Circus.

VMA winner Joseph Kahn (who directed her "Stronger" video, and "Toxic," and won the Pussycat Dolls a VMA for their "When I Grow Up" video) directed Britney's new video, in which she gives a copy machine a run for its money, upgrades her waitressing skills from her "(You Drive Me) Crazy" days, downgrades her chauffeuring skills, and shows off almost every everlovin' last inch of her stronger-than-ever body. (Seriously, this version of "Womanizer" makes "I'm a Slave 4 U" look like an episode of Boobah.)

Watch Britney serve up the sexiest dish of revenge you've ever seen in her brand-new video, "Womanizer."

Contrary to your misconception, the Pussycat Dolls' hair does not magically blow in the wind all by itself. While the footwork (and ab work!) is all theirs, someone has to help them get to the point where they're clutching a VMA, and that someone is director Joseph Kahn: He lensed their Video Music Award-winning clip, "When I Grow Up," and he just directed their brand-new video, "I Hate This Part," off their new album, Doll Domination. (Plus he's directing Britney Spears' "Womanizer" video. Busy guy.)

The "I Hate This Part" video hasn't premiered yet, but you can take a behind-the-scenes look at the Pussycat Dolls putting the finishing touches on their latest body of work. Watch PCD heat up the desert in this exclusive look at "I Hate This Part."
