+ Keyshia Cole pulled out all the stops on the L.A. leg of her current U.S. tour.  Friends like Keri Hilson, Nas, and Diddy were all in attendance to help the singer put on a star-studded show. Wish we could have gone! (Rap-Up)

It's not every day that you get to see Bow Wow and Jermaine Dupri cruisin' around town in a classic Chevy convertible, rapping about rollin' doobs, Barack Obama and being true friendzies. Which is a shame, because, given the opportunity, we could listen to Bow Wow's rhymes (and stare at JD's thick-framed Urkel specs) all day, EVERY day.

Check out the new video from the child rapper-turned-adult rapper Bow Wow, give it up for Janet Jackson's fiance hubby whatever, and don't get too distracted by the side-tilted, Fresh Prince-style hats to miss those amazing Beyonce-ish hooks from Keyshia Cole.

Keyshia Cole is proud of where she came from. Not because she liked coming of age in foster care and serenading drug dealers on the streets of East Oakland, Cali, but because she knows her real-life success story (the one-time 'hood singer is now a two-time Grammy nominee, twice-platinum selling artist, and a former MTV Artist of the Week) is nothing short of inspirational.

And with her third album, A Different Me, Keyshia's ready to show her fans how much she's grown (look for the upcoming single, "Make Me Over") without losing herself in the process -- translation: new clothes, different hair, same ol' Keyshia.

Check out this exclusive interview and find what the new(-ish) Keyshia's all about, plus get ready to see some amazing collabos; sure, "Game's Pain" was off the hook, but we're talkin', like, Resurrection-of-Tupac amazing. And mark your calendars -- Keyshia's latest LP drops December 16th, just in time for your annual family gift exchange! (Hint, hint.)

No, Timbaland isn't the only superproducer in the R&B/hip-pop game. And while you may not have heard of Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, we guarantee you know by heart three quarters of the songs he's produced, and we're thinking he's about to seriously blow up once and for all like he should.

The one-man hit factory who's masterminded mega-singles like Michael Jackson's "You Rock My World," Destiny's Child's "Say My Name," Brandy and Monica's "The Boy Is Mine," Keyshia Cole's "Shoulda Let You Go," and the Pussycat Dolls most recent hit, "When I Grow Up," is working his magic again, producing tracks for Beyonce, Ciara and Britney's new albums. (More on Darkchild's involvement with Britney's new album here.)

And so, in honor of the man who's about to own radios and ringtones from here and back, we're paying Darkchild his properties with some of our favorite videos of Darkchild's hits, which also happen to be some of our all-time favorite songs too. And, for the record -- we always thought "That Boy" was Monica's...

Ever heard the old Beatles song that goes "Oh, I get by with-a-little help from my friends?" Well, apparently so has The Game. In his latest single, "Game's Pain," the rapper (who was born Jayceon Terrell Taylor, but wisely refrained from adopting the already tainted moniker "JTT") shouts out all of his favorite old-school musical influences, including Jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan, Naughty by Nature and Nas.

Turns out the West Coast rapper is also a longtime Will Smith fan! Because, in his words, "who didn't wanna be the Fresh Prince flat-top, gold chain and some fresh kicks?" (Answer: Nobody.)

And besides revealing that Game has a secret soft-spot for New Edition, this smooth-flowing track shows a gentler, humbler side of the gangsta rapper best known for his do-or-die rivalry with 50 Cent. You'll want to listen up for the killer vocals from Keyshia Cole and keep your eyes peeled for the cameo by Friday star (and former N.W.A. rapper) Ice Cube. That said, be prepared to squint at the excessive use of bling, the gratuitous use of a Louis Vuitton sweatband and the disconcertingly blinding shades of red.

Trina and Keyshia Cole together on the same track is like an A-bomb of sexy soul sauciness. If Da Baddest Bitch gyrating up against a wall isn't enough to get men sweatin' from Tampa to Tucson, we don't know what is. (And ladies, all eyes on New York Jets running back Thomas Jones.) Add the newly brunette Keyshia Cole cooing over the top of it, and you get a double scoop of baby-making goodness.

And if you're going to make music to make babies to (or at least do the deed to), might as well look the part. Just like a good Dr. Dre beat, the trench coat-and-fishnets look never gets old; as far as seduction-wear goes, it's "The Chronic."

Now that you've seen the video, check out the exclusive interview Trina did for MTV's Sucker Free blog.

"There are some artists that love that limelight," Keyshia Cole told the San Francisco Chronicle. "I don't do it for that… I just do it because of all the s--- I've been through. I want girls my age to understand. The girls I sing to is in the 'hood. They're in predicaments that I'm sure it's hard to get through, to be focused and try to be in school and try to keep a job, try to keep their minds straight… That's why I sing — for them. I can't let 'em down."

And Keyshia Cole should know -- her own stories come from the heart -- and from the street. Born to a drug-addicted mother, Keyshia grew up poor within the foster care system, singing to drug dealers for money on the hard streets of East Oakland. By 16, she'd dropped out of school, left home and eventually moved to Los Angeles after catching her boyfriend cheating on her. A bad scene, no doubt, but it was a bold move that eventually led to a meeting with Jimmy Iovine and, later, a record deal.
