Well, she at least showed up to last night's 2008 Brit Awards. And at this point, showing up is half the battle. She didn't walk away with any awards, but she did perform two songs -- "Love Is a Losing Game" and "Valerie" -- with Mark Ronson, who picked up an award for Best Male Solo Artist (an award second in importance only to the unofficial MTV Buzzworthy Obsession of the Year award), but unfortunately he did not strip on stage to celebrate his win. (Boo!) Instead, he accepted the award by saying "I've never felt so British or so male before in my life."

Janet Jackson's back, but she could be big-time back if her new video, "Feedback" off her upcoming album, Discipline -- set to drop late next month -- is any indication of her new look and feel.

We have to agree with Blender's sentiment that this is "her most distinctive track in years ... even if it's just a canny amalgam of recent hits." But we like that she's bringing back the dance sound of the late '90s with a video looks like when TLC went through their hyper-space/ anime phase and sounds like when Jennifer Lopez was still J.Lo (and yes, we know that it's obvious that Janet influenced J.Lo, but you can't deny that the track sounds like "Play," okay? There's definitely something post-modern about that, but we're too tired to think about it any harder today.)
