Nope that isn't Kristin Cavallari. It's not some random blond girl mugging it up for the camera. That's the recovering love addict, Ke$ha, getting some time in the paparazzi spotlight at the KISSFM's Wango Tango at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Ke$ha took to the stage to perform a selection from her ever-growing arsenal of hits, including "Blah Blah Blah" and "Your Love Is My Drug."

Minus the Native American headdress, the intentionally overapplied makeup, the forgot-the-last-time-she-used-conditioner hair, the neon lights outfit and the attendant bottle of Jack Daniels/mouthwash, Ke$ha really doesn't look all that much different than your average, fairly famous celebrity. Don't worry, though: Ke$ha was holding a mannequin's head, which she apparently kissed, so it's not like she's gone all square on us.

Taylor Swift, in a Kaufman Franco dress accented by Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, went for a silver-screen siren look and lived out a fairy tale adventure that night, braving Cinderella hardships up against Kanye but emerging the belle of the ball by the end of the night. (TEAM TAYLOR!)

MOST DANGEROUSLY SEXY: KATY PERRY
Katy Perry followed the night's silver trend, but took it to a potentially painful level in her spiked silver mini dress by The Blonds.

MOST SUBTLE: AMBER ROSE
Get it? Subtle? Because Amber Rose wasn't subtle at all! Paradoxically though, she managed to cover up her almost her entire body while exposing almost her entire body all at the same time! Maybe she really IS from another planet.

LEAST IN NEED OF SLEEVES: JENNIFER LOPEZ
This Louis Vuitton situation reminds me of when you get your neck stuck in an armhole, except usually when that happens you're free to experience your shame in the privacy of a dressing room. Not on a red carpet. Oh wells. At least Jennifer Lopez's makeup was fuh-lawless.

MOST NEAR A WARDROBE MALFUNCTION: KERI HILSON
Keri Hilson, in a Charlotte Ronson jumpsuit, certainly has the body for the peekaboo sensation, but still, I saw her hugging lil Justin Bieber on the red carpet, and I was bracing myself for a "big reveal."

Did you see The Hills last night? Holy ship. Is there a better show? I know this is neither the time nor the place, but I'm pretty sure Spencer Pratt is the most interesting person who has ever been alive. No offense, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, but homeboy went to therapy and became a different person. A sensitive person who is also a rapper. WHAT THE HELL?

Not only that, but as a barely-recovering Laguna Beach junkie, I am SO psyched for the return of Kristin Cavallari. Did you see her go straight for Justin Bobby?? What I wouldn't give to go to bed tonight and wake up in next year so all of my unanswered Hills questions would be answered already!

But enough about my "problem." Aside from Spencer's emergence from his cocoon of cruelty as a gentle butterfly, last night's big story was Lauren Conrad's departure. What was originally her spin-off, officially entered a new life of its own as she rode away from K-Cav and the Speidi extravaganza alone.

To mark the beginning of a whole new era, Hills producers brought in a whole new voice. They very wisely landed on young buck Tamar Kaprelian, whose fresh and honest single "New Day" has enough emotion in every note to knock the grass off The Hills. Look out, "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield! It's a new day.

In the great tradition of reality TV, I'm gonna let Tamar Kaprelian introduce herself. Here are a couple highlights from her hand-written bio:

Last time we saw blue-eyed soul songwriter Gavin DeGraw was some time back in like 2005 (and before every episode of One Tree Hill. Busted.) The last time we saw Laguna Beach grad Kristin Cavallari was around the same time, and apparently she’s fallen on hard times since she’s working at Wally World. Soike! Stephen Colletti’s ex plays the love interest in Gavin DeGraw’s brand-new caught-on-tape video, “In Love With a Girl,” in which the two go on an after-hours trying-on-undies spree at their “local discount superstore.” Yet another compelling reason to wash your new drawers before you wear them.
