Today's episode of It's On With Alexa Chung was noteworthy for several reasons. For one, it's day TWO of Alexa Chung's CAT WEEK! I'm way into that. You may've been way more into the TWO Victoria's Secret Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Marisa Miller, who are not unattractive according to any reasonable person's standards.

Alessandra Ambrosio and Marisa Miller also danced and bounced and talked about bras and boobs and talked like normal people. Were you surprised, or did you not really even hear them talk, because of how much they DON'T look like normal people? Also, MTV go-to guest Pete Wentz was there and Mark Hoppus surprised him (surprise!)

AND Alexa wore leather shorts a la Ashley Greene! AND saddle shoes... here's more on what Alexa wore.

Tuesday, August 11
+ Sweater: Etoile by Isabel Marant
+ Shorts: 3.1 Phillip Lim
+ Shoes: G.H. Bass & Co.
+ Necklace: Chanel

Parisian designer Isabel Marant makes gorgeous and dreamy, elegantly casual (usually an oxy moron, I know) pieces that are ANNOYINGLY DIFFICULT TO FIND IN THE STATES. Fake the funk and belt this J. Crew sweater instead. It's $24.99.

Are you pro saddle shoes or no saddle shoes? If you're unsure, get a pair for under $20. Payless has saddle shoes for $17.99. (They're called Payless for a reason.)

+ Again, see how to get your own leather shorts, courtesy of Ashley Greene!...

Finally, I've discovered people more harshly truthful and judgmental than myself! All-Time Low reads minds -- yours, mine, Pete Wentz's and Mark Hoppus', who make cameos in their new "Weightless" video -- and the results are hilarious, real, and enough to convince me that this video is kind of like the 2000 Mel Gibson movie What Women Want, minus the gynecology. Except it doesn't suck.

Watch All Time Low's new video, "Weightless," directed by Matthew Stawski, now, and listen to their new album, Nothing Personal on "The Leak."

On "Listen To Your Friends," the brand-new Mark Hoppus-produced single, New Found Glory team up with old buddy / video director Meiert Avis ("Failure's Not Flattering," "All Downhill From Here") for what is easily their most dramatic offering ever.

Avis transforms the first single from the album of the same name into an all-out royal rumble, complete with fully-developed alter egos, over-the-top title cards, and bikini babes between rounds. Almost better suited to Guns 'n Roses' "Get In The Ring," the hilariously grisly clip pits the topless, costumed NFG boys against ferocious amateur wrestlers. Even if you're not into wrestling, it's pretty much guaranteed that the topless-ness will bring you back to this video over and over again.

Oh, plus the song's bangin', in case you're into music or whatever... Look:

The world has been waiting for the longest time for a new blink-182 record, and finally our prayers will be answered! The full band hopped on stage last night and made the big news known at the 2009 Grammys. Travis Barker said it like this: "We used to play music together, and we decided we're going to play music together again." The band's official/casual press release said it like this:

Hi. We're blink-182. This past week there’ve been a lot of questions about the current status of the band, and we wanted you to hear it straight from us.  To put it simply, We're back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again.  Friendships reformed.  17 years deep in our legacy.

Summer 2009.

Thanks and get ready...

Yeah. Get ready. Here, I'll help.

+ Taylor Swift may not have been the most popular girl in school (she says her classmates found her "annoying") but she's currently got the most popular album in the country. And for those of you keeping track, her new album, Fearless, outsold the Jo Bros' latest effort by nearly 60,000 copies in its first week. Game on! (Usmagazine.com)

+ Meanwhile, Taylor's future ex-boyfriend better watch out. "I like writing songs about boys and relationships," Swift admits. “And when someone breaks up with me, I like to write about it, because I feel like I have the last word." (Rolling Stone)

+ Miley Cyrus calls those YouTube hackers "dumb," refuses to confirm that she and her hottie hot hottie boyfriend are officially dating. (MTV News)

+ Britney Spears comes thisclose to admitting her marriage to Kevin Federline was a mistake. OMG, progress! (Scandalist)

+ Mother pucker! Has Jessica Simpson come down with a sudden case of the Angelina Jolies? (The Dirty Disher)

+ Meanwhile, why does Fetus Simpson-Wentz refuse to emerge from Ashlee's womb?? (SF Gate)

+ Beyonce congratulates Justin Timberlake on his leotard-wearing dance moves, and preemptively agrees to perform at Barack Obama's inauguration. (People)

+ Blink 182's Mark Hoppus blogs about reconnecting with Travis Barker and hints at a possible Blink reunion. Wait, what's their age, again? (MTV News)

Avert your eyes, kiddies! Joe Trohman got nothing but a raincoat on (I knew there was a solid reason for the Old Testament hair -- to look EVEN CREEPIER and more authentic as a flasher) in Fall Out Boy's new video, "I Don't Care." (Check out behind-the-scenes photos here.)

The "I Don't Care" video -- directed by Alan Ferguson with assistance from Pete Wentz's talented dog, Hemingway, who's smarter than your dog, clearly -- is the lead single off FOB's upcoming fifth album, Folie à Deux, which sees Fall Out Boy training a lens on the celebrity circus and all its effed-up glory.

Look for surprise walk-ons by Pharrell Williams, Gabe Saporta, and Mark Hoppus. (Well, I guess they're not really surprises since I just told you.) And that Spencer Pratt cameo you were promised? Totally the money shot -- nice to see Mr. Montag taking one for the team, dealing himself the KO blow you so wish you could deliver yourself.

Also awesome: Spaghetti Cat!!! AND, the best face-morphing scenes since Michael Jackson's "Black or White" video.
