Did I miss a memo? Was there a meeting I wasn't invited to? A gathering of music video directors in which they decided most videos released in October 2009 MUST BE SET AT COSTUME BALLS?

Metro Station's "Kelsey," Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Casanova," and now OneRepublic's "All The Right Moves." Is this a statement about our national identity? Is there an Eyes Wide Shut revival going on? Or are music video directors simply watching Panic! At The Disco's "It's Better If You Do" and then thinking, "I want that." Whatever the case, put a stamp on it and mail it to the Federal Department of Music Video Trends.

"All The RIght Moves" is the first single from OneRepublic's forthcoming Waking Up. It's an uptempo departure after "Apologize," with skittering jams and a huge chorus, wherein the group plays houseband for a party inappropriately hosted by an unsupervised child. I'm sure he'll be protected by Ryan Tedder's angelic vocals and genetic predisposition to crank out monster hits, but really, someone should read that kid a story or something. There are probably child labor laws being broken there.

Watch OneRepublic's brand-new "All The Right Moves" video, directed by Wayne Isham.

Costume ballers! I feel a motif blossoming. Hot on the heels of Carrie Underwood's brief flirtation with Eyes-Wide-Shut-erry Metro Station deliver their new clip for their old-ish song, "Kelsey," (off the Kelsey EP) featuring more masked hi-jinks than you can shake a monogrammed handkerchief at.

This emo-lectro jam is livened up by the appearance of Aimee Teegarden from the too-awesome-for-words Friday Night Lights. (Teegarden is no stranger to music vids, having appearing in Hinder's "Without You," previously.) In "Kelsey" Teegarden plays the apple of singer Mason Musso's eye, as he pursues her behind her date's back. There's dramz, tears, and more dramz. Not unlike an episode of Friday Night Lights, just with less football.

So I get that music careers were on the menu at Casa Cyrus: Billy Ray, Miley -- don't forget brother Trace Cyrus of Metro Station -- and now we meet big sister Brandi Cyrus, through indie-pop trio Frank and Derol, (sometimes also referred to as The Band With Miley Cyrus' Older Sister in It -- kidding, kidding... I know Solange suffered her share of "That's great, but tell us about your sister" moments.)

Before joining up with Frank and Derol, 22-year-old Brandi actually played guitar for both Hannah Montana and for Miley's tour, so a musical novice she is not. And with chirpy vocals and downbeat electronic beats, the Frank and Derol trio -- which also consists of Codi Caraco and Megan Park of The Secret Life of The American Teenager -- are hardly churning out "See You Again" knock-offs.

Try "Back and Forth"'s mellow flow for the family differences. Frank and Derol does not shy away from its Cyrus connex or the Cyrus fanbase though -- Frank and Derol opened for Billy Ray this month at The House of Blues in Cali. Hey, it's a foot in the door...

+ Um, apparently YES. People really STILL ARE talking about that little-noticed time Britney shaved her head back in February 2007 and the events that led up to her not-exactly-on-point performance at the 2007 VMAs. A new book called Britney: Inside The Dream (out June 11, 2009), by Steve Dennis, claims to have the REAL-DEAL HOLYFIELD on what REALLY happened to Brits. Read an excerpt at The Mirror. If you didn't already read it in the February 2008 issue of Rolling Stone. (The Mirror)

+ For the LAST time. YES, Eminem was IN on Brüno's butt... I mean the butt of the joke. I mean he was in on the joke at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. Eminem said he went back to his hotel and watched the rest of the show from there. And laughed. (MTV News)

+ The family that Twitters together... tours together! Yesterday, on his Twitter, Trace Cyrus announced that Metro Station's going to be opening up for Miley on her upcoming tour. Cuteness! (Trace Cyrus' Twitter)

+ Eff what you know. The REAL verse of Kanye West's new "Paranoid" video, featuring Rihanna, is ready. (Just Jared)

+ Brokencyde, you're still terrible. DON'T bring chocolate milk into this! (Idolator)

+ Beyonce has less money than Madonna but more than Steven Spielberg. Specifically, she's worth $87 million. Meanwhile, I don't even have, like $87. (Forbes)

+ Whitney Houston will release her first album in seven years this September. The album doesn't have a title yet, but we've got a few ideas, starting with "It's Not Right But It's Okay." (Whitney Houston)

+ Speaking of Whitney Houston, freaking BOBBY BROWN had another baby. A real, actual human child baby! Can you EVEN? (E!)

+ More big news today from MTV Movie Awards winner Miley Cyrus, who announced an upcoming fall tour with her brother's band, Metro Station, AND the August launch of her joint-venture Wal-Mart fashion line with designer Max Azria. (MTV News)

+ Miley's also got a really hot co-star in an upcoming movie she's shooting. Boyfriend Justin Gaston better watch his back! (E! Online)

+ Christina Aguilera is going to bring us the future by way of her new album AND her jewelry collection. (Socialite LIfe)

+ Ozzy Osbourne likes to try on swimsuits without wearing underwear. Somehow we'd be more grossed out if it was KELLY Osbourne doing the trying on. (Star Magazine)

On Tuesday, February 24, The Veronicas (joined by openers Metro Station) took Melbourne's Palais Theatre, the latest stop on their Revenge Is Sweeter tour, by storm. Hitting every note amid a throng of thrashing back-up dancers, they so electrified the sold-out crowd that, at times, their vocals were inaudible over a chorus of singing fans. It was the kind of night that inspired an Aussie website to declare this year's Veronicas' performances to be "the most frenetic of their lives."

Lucky for us, what happened in Melbourne doesn't have to stay there! A dedicated camera crew captured every suggestive shimmy of their famously lusty rager, "Take Me On The Floor," in high definition. Caught their mesmerizing light show, too!

Watch as Lisa and Jess take a break from exclusive Buzzworthy interviews to do what they do best: rock Australia's ass off.

Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump and Pete Wentz, along with Yellowcard's Ryan Key star in the upcoming short film Moustachette, and if "King of Voiceovers" Don LaFontaine hadn't gone to that great big screening room in the sky, he'd have been the BEST at reading Moustachette's "Quest for truth in a blanket of stupidity" tagline in a booming, awe-inspiring voice.

Patrick, Pete, and Ryan, you guys had me at "blanket of stupidity." And penguins.

+ Watch the Moustachette trailer, and catch Fall Out Boy on the mtvU Movies & Music Festival with Cobra Starship (feel better, Gabe!), Hey Monday, All Time Low, Metro Station, and 50 Cent.

MOUSTACHETTE TRAILER #1 (HD) from MOUSTACHETTE MOVIE on Vimeo.

Cassadee Pope of Hey Monday stopped by MTV today and performed (no sign of Real World Brooklyn's Chet, BTW) to a small room of MTV staff members, and some yums Rice Krispie treats, Doritos, and candy. (And iff you've been following my MTV Buzzworthy Twitter, you know that I! LOVE! SNACKS!) And I LOVE Cassadee too! She performed acoustic versions of "Homecoming" and "How You Love Me Now" and looked all sunny and sweet. Cassadee and I talked for a few minutes after her performance, and she had this to say to all of her Buzzworthy blog fans:

"Going back on tour with Fall Out Boy is gonna be awesome because we love them! So, see you all there!"

+ See Hey Monday and Fall Out Boy this spring on the mtvU Movies and Music festival, with Metro Station, Cobra Starship, All Time Low, and, um, 50 Cent!

Inspired by Bill's (maybe?) new(-ish) hair, today's Cherry Tree's Tweet that Tokio Hotel's hauling ass to finish up that new album, and, speaking of ass, the new Tokio Hotel TV ep wherein Gustav shakes his, I put together a new video playlist lovingly entitled "Dance, Tokio Hotel, Dance."

They're all videos about dancing. (I know. Brainbusting concept, no?)

Highlights include:

+ Fall Out Boy | "Dance Dance"

+ Metro Station | "Shake It"

+ Chromeo | "Fancy Footwork"

+ David Bowie | "Let's Dance"

+ CSS | "Move"

+ Hot Hot Heat | "Talk To Me Dance With Me"

+ Mase | "Breathe, Stretch, Shake"

+ TV On The Radio | "Dancing Choose"

+ The Danger O's | "Dance Dance Revolution 2"

... and more! Watch them all here, ToHos, und tanz!!

Mark our words: Push Play is one of the bestest, most exciting pop punk groups you've never heard of. Not that it's your fault. The guys (CJ Baran, Nick DeTurris, Steve Scarola and Derek Ries) put out their first album, Deserted, about a year ago and are only just now starting to get the recognition they (SO! TOTALLY!) deserve.

So show them some much-overdue love by heading to their MySpace, checking out their funky, All Time Low-ish sound and reading on for five fun factoids about the native New Yawk foursome.

Fun Fact #5. They're fashion forward. Lead singer CJ Baran designs his own outfits (like Kanye, except without the 'tude!) and drummer Derek "D-Rock" Ries says he's way into Dolce & Gabbana. Hmm, wonder which one of the boys is responsible for that "I Love PP" t-shirt ...

Fun Fact #4. They're thisclose to Miley Cyrus. The boys share a manager with MyCy -- although, thankfully, not her passion for trying to pass off pj's as outerwear/churning out Jonas-inspired revenge songs. Natch, we're assuming this close proximity to Miley means they'll eventually open for/tour with/marry her (although necessarily in that order).

Fun Fact #3. They've got their priorities straight. Dudes got themselves added to the Zootopia lineup back in May, and even scored the same dressing room as Metro Station (DING! Another Miley connection!) And while most of the band's influences are punk rockish (i.e. All-American Rejects, Brand New), Push Play said they were MOST excited about seeing the Jo Bros take the stage. (PP? We like where your head's at.)

Fun Fact #2. They're all Hottie McHottersons. We know, we know, crushworthiness can't make or break a band. Then again, Steve Scarola's dimples (above, far left) have GOTTA count for something. C'mon, worked for ABDC host Mario Lopez, right?!

Fun Fact #1. They always put their fans first. Got a hot date on Valentine's Day? So does Push Play! The guys'll be playing a show in Farmingdale, New York. Feel free to surprise them by showing up with a cheesy Hallmark card, a box of chocolates and a giant totally-not-creepy sandwich board that reads "BE MINE."
