Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams attend the Essence magazine Black Women In Music event.
Did everyone's hearts instantly begin to pound to the beat of "Bootylicious" when they saw Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams sharing a photo opp? Or was it just us with the high hopes that this could mean the Destiny's Child reunion rumor may be coming true?!
Kel and Michelle were snapped together attending the third-annual Essence Black Women In Music reception last night. We totally get that both singers are doing just fine with their solo careers -- Kelly's been dropping new videos and Michelle's been busy singing on Broadway (not to mention the group's famous third, Beyoncé, ain't suffering) -- but we'd like to imagine the two spent the majority of their time together reminiscing about the past. We bet they were all, "Remember when we were like, THE MOST AMAZING GIRL GROUP IN THE WORLD? That was fun!"
Ladies, PLEASE tell us you're gonna get back together someday -- 'cause we're really, really ready for that jelly.

Michelle Williams' part in Destiny's Child's "Survivor" was my personal favorite (matching camo cutoff shorts notwithstanding), so I'm pretty excited that we're hearing some new material from her. "Love Gun," the latest offering from the Williams camp, sounds a bit like Wynter Gordon meets a Robyn B-side. In other words, we like it!
The floating synths that anchor the "Love Gun" track sound a lot like the synths used in Robyn's "Indestructible," and Michelle's soft and sweet vocals blend with the track nicely. And even though we dig the image of a "love gun" (almost as much as the lipstick gun in Lady Gaga's "Judas" video), Kelly does seem to run away with the metaphors a bit: "Getting caught up in your massacre," followed by "Hand on the trigger, aiming for your bulls-eye... order to kill on sight," are making us ask what happened to the "love" part of that gun, girl? Give peace a chance!
All in all, "Love Gun" is a catchy and radio-friendly (we've listened to it five times already), and we can't wait to hear more from Michelle Williams (thankfully for everyone involved, sans the coordinated outfits of yore).
+ Listen to Michelle Williams' "Love Gun."

Even though Beyoncé was grinning ear to ear while posing with her former Destiny's Child pals Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams backstage after her epic Billboard Awards performance of "Run The World (Girls)," we can't seem to find any proof that a musical Destiny's Child reunion is actually taking place. Guess it's just a photographic reunion for now, folks.
And we're sure we're not the only ones thinking this, but how rude! You can't put the thought of a Destiny's Child reunion in our heads like this, Beyoncé! It's bad enough that "Say My Name" is still our ringtone, but this photo of the threesome looking more epic than ever has us digging out our sheer red sequined cardigan and calling up our friends to see if they'll coordinate with us. (Don't judge.)
We know Beyoncé is doing her own thing these days (i.e. conquering the world; being married to Jay-Z, aka the coolest man alive; never taking a bad photograph) and Kelly and Michelle are busy still bringing the jams as well, but can you three please squeeze in like, one mini-reunion tour? Just like a six-week leg or something? You can leave LeToya and LaTavia at home!! Please! Just the three of you!
What's that you say? No, no, no, no? UGH. Fine.

Michelle Williams and her hair came out last night to the New York City launch of Beyonce's new perfume, "Beyonce Heat." And back to that hair. Michelle Williams has either been listening to A LOT of Grace Jones (fine by me), or she's been emulating Jersey Shore's resident DJ, Pauly D. (Also okay.)

What do you think of Michelle Williams' spiky, feathery new hair do? Is it "The Greatest," or is Michelle's 'do more of a "No No No" situation?

Michelle Williams isn't just a former choir girl, a not-so-secret Katy Perry fan or an all grown up Destiny's Child alum. She's also a smokin' hot soloist whose new video, "The Greatest," (the fourth single off her latest LP, Unexpected) shows off her new 'do, her bangin' yogalicious figure (someone's been practicing her downward dog pose!) and her ability to nail a slightly sappy love ballad.
Check out Williams' tribute to all the great men in her life (Go U.S.A.!) and compare it with classic power ballads like "Wind Beneath My Wings" (Bette Midler, w00t!) and Celine "Fist-Pump" Dion's Titanic smash hit, "My Heart Will Go On."

+ Holy withholding! Beyonce has pushed the release date on her two new singles -- "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies" -- back one week, thereby depriving the world of her latest bootylicious offerings until October 14th. Rumor has it Michelle Williams' new album, Unexpected, is to blame for the delay. (That Grape Juice)

First we discovered that Michelle Williams is secretly haw-larious and is basically a walking iPod shuffle. And now we've discovered that she's officially the most photogenic person in the world. Check out these exclusive shots of Michelle vamping it up in a shiny, cleavage-bearing black top. Oh, and for all you Seinfeld fans out there? As far as we know, they're real -- and they're spectacular.

You're not the only one with the chorus of Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" stuck in your head on repeat -- it's even lodged in Michelle Williams' pretty little head too. Find out what else she's listening to this summer, besides Usher's "Love In This Club" ode to PDA, Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown's "No Air," and Rufus Wainwright (a Buzzworthy favorite!)... again, more "unexpectedness" from Michelle Williams, who is a human iPod Shuffle.
+ Plus, watch Michelle reveal the naughty bits you won't see in her "We Break the Dawn" video, and check out Katy Perry backstage at TRL and on FNMTV (in a panda dress, no less!)

We discovered something we didn't know about Michelle Williams, who, appropriately, named her upcoming album Unexpected: the girl is hilarious. We knew she was talented, but -- shame on us -- we had no clue how funny she is. "People are surprised to find out I'm funny" she confirmed.
Even in the green room, before we started the interview, the attitude-neg singer had us cracking up, talking about teeth-whitening strips and meat vendors on the streets of New York. Maybe you had to be there. Still, it's worth mentioning that Michelle Williams possesses an uncanny ability to immediately disarm a perfect stranger with her down-to-earth good nature and wicked sense of humor. Michelle, we stand corrected.
Check out our exclusive interview with the unexpectedly funny Michelle Williams, who told us about the not-so-family-friendly scene that didn't make it into the final version of her "We Break the Dawn" video.
