+ In 5, 4, 3 . . . Demi Lovato's third studio album has a name: Unbroken. Lovato made the announcement via a countdown on Twitter yesterday. Unbroken hits shelves next month. (Idolator)
+ Miranda Cosgrove was injured when her tour bus crashed in Illinois yesterday. Fortunately, her injuries are reportedly minor. She has canceled the remainder of her tour. (E!)
+ When it falls down, who you gonna call now? If you can get Kanye West on the line, he'd likely tell you to get up and keep going, which is exactly what he did (peep the vid) after landing on his back while performing in Norway. (E!)
+ Jani Lane, former singer of hair-metal band Warrant, was reportedly found dead last night. The cause of death has not yet been determined. (Billboard)
+ The VMAs are just around the corner (8/28); Bruno Mars, among others, will perform. And a Britney Spears VMAs promo aired last night. Check it, along with behind-the-scenes footage, photos and more. (MTV News)

If you were at all moved by the tragic story line that defined the full-length version of the Drew Barrymore-directed MTV "Supervideo" featuring Best Coast's "Our Deal," then the extended version might set you over the edge. And if you weren't moved by the tragic story line, then you have no soul IMHO.
Featuring Miranda Cosgrove, Chloë Moretz, Donald Glover, Shailene Woodley, Alia Shawkat and "Teen Wolf"'s Tyler Posey, the extended version goes even deeper into the world of the Night Creepers and the Day Trotters, two opposing and constantly feuding gangs. Moretz plays Veronica, a member of the Night Creepers, who falls deeply in love with a member of the Day Trotters named Lucky, played by Posey. While romantic scenes in the full-length version shows viewers just how deeply connected Veronica and Lucky are, the extended version shows a more real side to their love, delving in to the details of the young couple's everyday routine. We see the duo reading a book (Might that be homework? They're like what, 16?), dancing, laughing and comparing tattoos. The couple that tats together, stays together, right? Think again.
Even though I was kinda hoping that the extended version might have, say, an alternate ending sparing me from the depths of depression I spiraled into after I saw the full-length "Supervideo," tragedy strikes once again. You'll have to watch for yourself to know what I mean. Drew Barrymore, you definitely know how to tug at our heart strings. We sort of hate you/love you for that.

We've all been there -- the guy you're interested in plays a REALLY hot wolf on MTV's "Teen Wolf" and then plays a REALLY hot retro greaser in a "Supervideo" full of other famous people in rival gangs. Well, you probably haven't been there, now that I think about it. But that's exactly what happens in MTV's new "Supervideo," set to the Best Coast's "Our Deal," directed by Drew Barrymore.
Tyler Posey, who you certainly know from "Teen Wolf" and from being INSANELY good looking, plays a brooding gang member who catches the eye of actress Chloë Moretz (Kick-Ass, Let Me In). The chemistry is palpable, and so is the tension rising between the Day Trotters and the Night Creepers, both era-less teenage gangs that include other celebrities you're not used to seeing as gang members -- Miranda Cosgrove, Donald Glover, Shailene Woodley and Alia Shawkat.
But what will happen next?
After the jump, watch a sneak peek of MTV's "Supervideo," featuring Best Coast's "Our Deal," before it premieres Tuesday, Aug. 2, on MTV.com. And watch a behind-the-scenes interview with Drew Barrymore and Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino, shot on the "Supervideo" set in L.A.

You probably know Miranda Cosgrove mostly from her role as the titular character on the Nickelodeon show "iCarly." But if you've had the pleasure of listening to any of her music, especially "Kissin U" from her 2010 album, Sparks Fly, you'll know she's quite the burgeoning pop star as well.
In these exclusive interview clips, Miranda talks about both sides of her career. In the first clip, she chats about the thrill of getting to meet Weezer's Rivers Cuomo, via her producer Dr. Luke. In the second clip, she discusses the weirdest "iCarly" fan video she ever saw. WARNING: It's gross!
While we had the opportunity to pick her brain, we also got Miranda to tell us about what she's listening to these days (Radiohead is "ruling her iPod"), what her favorite karaoke song is (Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" or Pat Benatar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot"), and whether she's team "Twilight" or "Hunger Games. ("Twilight" FTW!)

I think, without naming names, we all know that childhood stardom can be a slippery slope. But Miranda Cosgrove, star of "iCarly" and burgeoning pop music sensation has remarkably managed to keep her balance. And with this new video for "Dancing Crazy," the lead single from her upcoming High Maintenance EP, she sort of shows why.
"Dancing Crazy" depicts the kind of mildly illicit fun that won't get you on TMZ. In the clip, Cosgrove sneaks out of her house at the very PG hour of 11 p.m., only to head over to the high school football field for a dance party in the U.S.A. It's basically like "Friday Night Lights" meets "Footloose."
The song itself is a combo of Miley Cyrus' (somewhat) aforementioned "Party..." and Avril Lavigne's "What The Hell" (it seems like organs are very "in" for 2011).

Miranda Cosgrove is best known for her charming turn as the internet-savvy Carly Shay on the hit Nickelodeon show "iCarly." But she's quickly becoming equally well known for her music, which continues to grow and mature just as she does. And as she takes that journey, she's going to be letting us into her life all this September with blog posts, videos, photos and more on MTV's Posted.
Miranda Cosgrove saw her first musical notoriety with the recording of "iCarly" 's infectious theme song (I dare you to hear that and not hum along). But her more recent material, especially her 2010 album, Sparks Fly, isn't just kid stuff; it's rich, catchy and emotional pop-rock.
In the behind-the-scenes videos below, we catch up with Miranda Cosgrove in the studio, working on her undeniable single "Kissin' U." The track was cowritten by Miranda and hitmaking superpowers Dr. Luke (Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone") and Cosgrove had to check her fandom at the door, finding herself working with the writer of some of her favorite songs. You'll also see Miranda Cosgrove shoot her "Kissin' U" video in Malibu with director Alan Ferguson.
"Kissin' U," which is about letting down your guard with someone you've fallen for, is, according to Cosgrove, about someone real. But despite that, Cosgrove seems to be having a blast in the studio and on her video set.
Check out Miranda Cosgrove's behind-the-scenes MTV Posted videos and her "Kissin' U" video below. And stay tuned for more Miranda updates all month long!
