about this blog

  1. Obsessively blogging about pop music, pop videos, pop stars, and pop culture from inside the MTV headquarters in Times Square. We also have a slight Jonas Brothers problem. And a little fixation with Tokio Hotel.

Today's Tweet Toon -- hee-larious do-it-yourself cartoon strips we've been obsessively creating in Bitstrip -- comes to you via Paul Wall, who's apparently been on a jogging jag... though he can't seem to stop Tweeting while on the run. And he REFUSES to jog in anything but Jordans and jeans.

Now I'm no Jillian Michaels (God knows, if I were I wouldn't be sitting here blogging up what Paul Wall Tweeted), but running and Tweeting probably isn't the most efficient way to fight the fat. Still, best of luck to you, Paul Wall! That's The People's Champ, right there, ladies and gentlemen!

Now someone get Bob Harper on the horn, okay? And witness the fitness. (Don't steal that line, Fergie! I just made it up!)

+ Make your own Bitstrip, and watch Paul Wall's "Bizzy Body" video after the jump.

When people talk about Paul Wall, they invariably talk about his teeth. It's his own doing, of course -- not only does Paul Wall rap about grills, but he also makes and sells them. But when it came time to list the most important factors that influenced his new album, Fast Life, grills didn't even crack Paul Wall's top five.

What did? Beef jerky and baseball. The essentials.

Also notably absent from Paul Wall's list are Fast Life collaborators Travis Barker, Yung Joc, Gorilla Zoe, Too $hort and Tech N9ne. No room for Mr. Boomtown (the Dirty South's leading video director responsible for Paul Wall's "Bizzy Body" clip, as well as new joints from Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Gucci Mane and Bun B) either.

That's how important beef jerky and baseball are to Paul Wall. Don't forget it. Fill in the blanks on the rest of his list in the video below.

VMA party weekend officially kicked started Friday night with Jermaine Dupri's party at the Avalon in Hollywood. JD -- ever the consummate mogul and multitasker -- celebrated the launch of Tag Records, and, of course, the VMAs.

With D-Nice spinning -- "Put On," by Young Jeezy and Kanye West, T-Pain and Lil' Wayne's "Can't Believe It," and Game and 50 Cent's "This is How We Do," all were huge for the dance floor -- D stood at the booth hyping up the party. Nice played the remix to Dru Hill's "Sleeping in My Bed," while Dupri shouted, "Brat I love you!"

"Yes Janet Jackson is here," JD told some ladies on the dance floor. "Y'all can stop asking me now."

Back in the crowd, you could spot Paul Wall mingling while the likes of Jazze Pha and Polow Da Don chilled in the V.I.P. section.

Later, Tag Records lead artist Q performed, as did Fabolous. Loso hit the crowd with "Breathe" and "You Make Me Better."

+ Watch Jermaine dispense some VMA advice for Britney's big appearance, (which is barely 24 hours from now!)
