+ Robyn slayed (as always) during her O Music Awards performance, so much so she said she broke a blood vessel in her eye! She added, "[The show] was not like doing a TV show; it was a concert, in parts. It was weird going on and off, but it was really fun." (MTV News)

We wind the week down with a delightful new video from the Zooey Deschanel-fronted indie rock darlings She & Him. We spotted this video on Zooey's Tumblr, of all places, and have been playing it pretty much on repeat ever since.

She & Him is made up of (sometimes-Katy Perry look-alike) Zoeey Deschanel and indie troubadour M. Ward (who makes some stellar records on his own, by the way). "Don't Look Back" is the fourth single of their second full-length, Volume Two. It's a lovely piece of neo-retro gal-group pop, with some ace vintage instrumentation and gorgeous backing vocals.

For the video, directed by Jeremy Konner, the band goes back to the future, in a way. Inspired by an almost "Jetsons"-like sense of wonder about the "future," the "Don't Look Back" video features a robotic piano, some Zooey Deschanel holograms, some snazzy early '60s choreography and all manner of gadgetry.

Watch She & Him's video for "Don't Look Back," below. She & Him's Volume Two is out now.

Close your eyes and mentally picture a bendy, paper doll version of singer/actress Zooey Deschanel. (Or, better, yet, just check out the image above).

Got it? Rightyho! Now grab your Zooey doll, douse her with liquid eyeliner, remove her bizarro tambourine and replace her peachy-colored lip gloss with a rosy red lipstick. Next, liberally bedazzle her bust region, brush her bangs out of her face (and swap that weird, rose-shaped scrunchie for a giant, glittery butterfly barrette) then tilt her head forward until she's staring directly at you, wondering WTF is going on. Then pat yourself on the back: you're just officially recreated Katy Perry's vamped-out disco queen look from the 2008 VMAs.

Granted, Katy and Zooey have always had that dark-haired, blue-eyed, fair-skinned lady of leisure thing going on, but it wasn't 'til Katy winked at us in her costume-y, Xanadu-inspired two-piece last Sunday that we came to an important realization: Katy and Zooey MAY ACTUALLY BE THE SAME PERSON.

+ Think about it: When was the last time you actually saw them in the same room together, at the exact same time? (Answer: Never). Check out this pic of Katy from the VMAs, compare them with this snapshot of Zooey from FNMTV -- Katy and Zooey's band She & Him were on the same episode of FNMTV, which was really confusing -- and watch their videos below. Then admit that they're either (a) identical twins, or else (b) aliens from some faraway planet where no one uses self-tanner -- and EVERYONE can sing.

... And boy are our hands tired. We have our suspicions, but we, like you, won't know fo sho until this Friday night on FNMTV, when the final nominees in the "Best New Artist" category are announced, along with the "Best Dancing In a Video" noms. Seriously, someone's mom's gonna be super proud when she finds out she's one step closer to getting a Moonman to proudly display on her fridge.

Anyheezy, out of the eight pages (!!?!?!?) of possible VMA Best New Artist nominees, here are 10 of our favorite picks and their A+ videos.

+ OneRepublic, "Stop and Stare" -- Their smash hit "Apologize" is also a contender, but "Stop and Stare" hurts even better.

+ Leona Lewis, "Bleeding Love" -- Buckets of sexy, soulful emotion!

+ A Cursive Memory, "Everything" -- Punk'd 2.0!

+ Tokio Hotel, "Ready, Set, Go!" -- Duh...

+ Taylor Swift, "Teardrops on My Guitar" -- Seriously, how could Drew make our little pretty pretty princess cry!?!?

+ Vampire Weekend, "Oxford Comma" -- Wes Anderson + grammar = nerds unite!

+ Kid Sister, "Pro Nails" -- Inspiring us to keep our tips fly!

+ Estelle, "American Boy" -- Inspiring us to up our frequent flyer miles. And ring Kanye about another breezy duet.

+ She & Him, "Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?" -- Oh, Zooey. Why do you have to be so cute?

+ The Teenagers, "Love No" -- Frothy drinks, rollerskates, sexual tension and lotsa tongue? Yes, please!

More VMAs here.

Lil Wayne stopped the show a few weeks back, Rihanna and Maroon 5 killed it on episode 3, and after watching Katy Perry rehearse for her FN performance tonight, it's looking like she's gonna take show-stealing to felonious new levels. Not that we play faves -- we love all of our FNMTV extra-special guests equally. That'd be like loving one Jonas Brother more than another. It's simply not done. (And speaking of the Jonas Brothers, um, they're gonna be on FNMTV next Friday, July 18, so remember that.)

Check out the all-star lineup for tonight's installment of FNMTV, tune in tonight -- that's Friday, July 11, at 8 p.m. ET/PT for those of you not keeping track — and check back soon for exclusive behind-the-scenes photos of a power-jacked LL Cool J, Daughtry (also jacked! dude looks like Vin Diesel, except not wack!) Katy Perry, She & Him (challenge: telling Katy and Zooey apart -- but one way to tell is by the ENORMOUS rock on Katy's left hand -- she may like kissing girls, but that ring came from a certain someone), the Game, and, of course, "your host," Pete Wentz.

Tonight's FNMTV video premieres:
Daughtry - "What About Now"
LL Cool J featuring the Dream- "Baby"
She & Him - "Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?"

+ More FN pix after the jump…
