While family photo ops tend to lean toward the awkward, "I don't wanna be this uncomfortably close to my sibling" side of things, Solange Knowles takes a different approach -- HELLO, her sister and brother-in-law are Beyoncé and Jay-Z! It's not like Solange has to pose next to her creepy second cousin with the weird toy train obsession (who shall remain nameless). Uhh, can we get an invite into this family, please?!

The "I Decided" singer shares a few intimate photos of her phenomenal life on her blog, My Damn Blog, in what we we'd like to imagine is a project partially dedicated to Bey's bundle of joy. Auntie Solange just wants to remind the future HIP-HOP BABY ROYALTY about the ridiculous amount of talent that runs through his/her flawless family tree. Yes, it's OK to be jealous of an unborn infant.

If we were Solange, we'd be plastering these pics on Facebook so all our haters from high school can seethe with jealousy relatives could keep in touch without making us attend those pesky family reunions. On the other hand, we'd be be up for some cheek pinching from Grandma if that meant a possible glimpse of Bey, Jay and Solange putting on an impromptu Knowles' family talent show.

If you were expecting a video for a Beyoncé song called "Party" to be about like, fantastical forest creatures or something, then you either do not know English or you know nothing about how Beyoncé gets down. As we saw in the "Party" video preview a few days ago, we knew we were in for a slo-mo backyard summer party featuring Beyoncé and some of her friends (including sister Solange and BFF Kelly Rowland). The full-length version does what Bey will be doing in about four months -- delivers! (Badum-ching.) Think "Why Don't You Love Me" but set in the '90s -- AKA, MOST EPIC PARTY EVER.

In her "Party" video, hostess with the mostess Beyoncé throws an old-school summertime budget backyard party in a trailer park for about 30 of her closest pals -- by "budget" we're taking plastic drink cups, blow-up pool toys and a good ol' "sitting on the toilet, doing my makeup myself" session (ladies, I know you feel me). But because she is Beyoncé and richer than everyone ever, she teases us commoners with a few touches of how she really parties: fur coats, designers shades and a gold party hat that probably didn't come from the drugstore.

J. Cole shows up to the get-together empty handed (some wine would have been nice, J), bringing nothing but his verse on the remix: "We out in Abu Dhabi, we like to party/We don’t cause trouble, we just ride Bugatti..." Beyonce and guests dance around him, continuing to live it up, and by the end of the video you're asking yourself why your parties aren't like Beyoncé's. Drippin' swaggu, indeed.

+ After Lil Wayne closed out Sunday's VMAs, his party was just getting started. At midnight he dropped Tha Carter IV, and guests including Rick Ross, DJ Khaled and Drake were at his party in Hollywood to celebrate. The record may also bow at No. 1 next week. (MTV News)

+ Speaking of Rick Ross, the rapper is apparently being sued. Again. This time it's by rapper Teflon Don who claims Ross' album Teflon Don is brand infringement. DJ Khaled is also named in the suit. (Billboard)

+ Britney Spears let slip at the VMAs that her next single will be "Criminal." Thanks, Brit! (MTV News)

+ Apparently Beyoncé's pregnancy reveal at the VMAs broke Twitter records generating 8,868 tweets per second. Little Jayonce's already a phenomenon! To quote Kanye, "that s*** cray!" (MTV News)

+ While soon-to-be-auntie/Beyoncé's sister Solange Knowles has much to smile about, an incident in Miami didn't make her happy. She's reportedly upset about how police handled a situation outside a nightclub; police reportedly say Solange was belligerent after being denied entrance to the club. (E!)

+ Rebecca Black says her full-length debut album will be out around Halloween. "The album is nothing like 'Friday,' " she says. "It's got ballads, dance songs, everything." But really, could anything else sound quite like "Friday," like ever? (Rolling Stone)

Beyoncé took home Billboard Music's Artist Of The Millennium Award last night after it was determined that -- yes -- she is, in fact, better than Leonardo da Vinci, Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons or any other virtuoso from the past 1,000 years. After all, who would you rather see bust a move in that skimpy outfit: Pablo Picasso or Sasha Fierce?

(Before you say it, we already know that DaVinci, Warhol, Koons and Picasso aren't the same kind of "artist" as Beyoncé, but thinking about them reenacting the choreography in her "Single Ladies" video makes for a pretty hilarious mental picture.)

Beyoncé's song "Run The World (Girls)" (produced by Switch and Diplo, Major Lazer duo and superstar DJs in their own right) has been steadily climbing the charts and was the talk of the awards show ceremony. Just check the Twitter accounts of stars like Missy Elliott and Bey's own sister Solange Knowles, who were among those in attendance to tweet their approval.

It was a killer performance if we do say so ourselves! Way to keep it fierce, Beyoncé.

We're suckers for a good cross-genre collaboration, and if it's for a good cause, even better.

Solange Knowles, aka Beyoncé's indie music-loving sister and musician in her own right, recently teamed up with New Wave singer Twin Shadow and Chris Taylor from psychedelic pop quartet Grizzly Bear to record "Kenya," a new track intended to raise awareness for water and sanitation issues in Africa.

The song was recorded for the Coca-Cola Foundation's Replenish Africa Initiative (RAIN) and is available for download on the RAIN website for a donation. All proceeds from the song will be used to provide "clean water and sanitation resources to Africa's most needy," according to the organization.

Check the official video below, which shows both the beauty and hardships of the continent, and consider making a donation today.

Whoa! Hello there brand-new Beyoncé video! Directed by Melina Matsoukas (Rihanna's "Rude Boy") and Beyoncé herself, here's the clip for "Why Don't You Love Me," taken from the album that just keeps on giving, "I Am ... Sasha Fierce (Deluxe Edition)."

Verdict? Kind of a tour de force! It's Beyoncé on the edge of a nervous breakdown. We see grainy film stock giving off the '70s-exploitation vibe. Beyoncé's in full pinup mode (somewhat of a holdover from "Telephone"), smoking and drinking dirty martinis -- when did this happen! She's gardening in heels, playing dress-up as a naughty, nasty police officer and Bettie Page (again, from "Telephone"). It's all here in support of a dirty, disco-funk track cowritten with her sister, Solange Knowles.
