about this blog

  1. Obsessively blogging about pop music, pop videos, pop stars, and pop culture from inside the MTV headquarters in Times Square. We also have a slight Jonas Brothers problem. And a little fixation with Tokio Hotel.

When's hype not just hype? When it's HOVA. And because it's Jay-Z, you've probably already heard most if not all of his eleventh official album, The Blueprint 3 -- sorry, Jay. People just couldn't wait. But people just couldn't wait for keys to the Roc Nation. This is the OFFICIAL MTV.com Blueprint 3 full-length album leak.

Jay-Z's obviously the CEO of The Blueprint 3, but the board also features Alicia Keys, Kid Cudi, Kanye West, Mr. Hudson, Drake, Swizz Beatz, Young Jeezy, Pharrell, J. Cole, Rihanna, and Luke Steele of Empire of the Sun. That's more guests than your last Thanksgiving dinner. When Jay-Z asks you to guest, the answer's yes.

+ Listen to every track of Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3 right now on MTV.com's "The Leak."

And don't miss Jay-Z's live performance at the 2009 MTV VMAs on Sunday, September 13.

We see you, Maino. And we see a significantly higher production value than the original "Hi Hater" video, which truly looked like it was shot on someone's Razr.

And we also see you, T.I., and you, Fabolous, and Swizz Beatz (killed it!), you, Jadakiss, and Mya, lookin' all relaxed and comfy and stuff. Welcome back, girl! Seriously, this is by far my favorite Mya collabo since "Ghetto Superstar."

Watch Maino's "Hi Hater Remix" video -- you get far more gratuitous pec shots on Maino's behalf. Looks like someone's been hittin' the Bowflex!

And speaking of "Ghetto Superstar," check out this old-school TRL clip from 1998 and marvel over how much Maino looks like Old Dirty Bastard (R.I.P!):
