It's Tuesday! Time for another round of 5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week!
As the year draws to close, a whole bunch of 2012's most anticipated acts have begun teasing out tracks from their upcoming albums. We'll explore some new tracks from pop royalty -- from the luscious disco pulsations of the Irish Queen of Disco, to the promising new twinklings from a U.K. pop princess, to the fiyah hot club beats from a soon-to-be reigning U.S. R&B princess.

1.) Róisín Murphy, "Simulation"
Before Lady Gaga was waving around a disco stick and affixing those adorable hair bows to her head, quirky U.K. songstress Róisín Murphy was already twirling around in furry puffball fashions and avant garde oversize hats, belting out solid disco-pop smashes such as "Overpowered" and "Let Me Know."
As fans continue to wait with bated breath for Murphy's follow-up to her glorious 2007 record Overpowered, a new track has surfaced from the Irish Queen of Disco: "Simulation," an epic 9-minute throbfest of coos, moans and sensual sighs.
Like Donna Summer's grand masterpiece "I Feel Love," Murphy sighs and purrs above a series of space-age synthesizers and vintage beats in the most naughty of ways. "This is a simulation," she advises on repeat. The result is a gorgeous slice of stimulating deep house pulsations, all but destined to get you hot and bothered. + LISTEN TO ROISIN MURPHY, "SIMULATION"
2.) Morgan Page featuring Tegan & Sara, "Body Work"
Two years ago, indie folk-pop sister duo Tegan & Sara teamed up with unlikely collaborator Tiesto in the studio to record "Feel It In My Bones," an almighty house anthem that proved to be one of the shining highlights on the Dutch DJ's sensational indie-meets-dance 2009 record Kaleidoscope.
Now the girls are back to bump up the BPM some more: After hopping into the studio with producer/DJ Morgan Page, the duo present "Body Work," a surging EDM smash due out on Page's 2012 album. "You do your body work/I feel my pulse working overtime," the girls declare on repeat as the track builds and builds, at last unleashing into an insane, hands-in-the-air explosion of alarm noises and booming beats.
At this point, can someone just tell the girls to get on with it and record a dance album already? It would slay the world over! + LISTEN TO MORGAN PAGE FEATURING TEGAN & SARA, "BODY WORK"

If you guys didn't get your invite to appear in Sara Bareilles' latest music video, "Uncharted," from her album Kaleidoscope Heart, don't worry, we didn't either. But from the looks of it, we're the only ones. Everyone is in this video. Everyone!
"Uncharted" is shot DIY style, and it features a bunch of Sara Bareilles' famous fans lip-synching along to the song. Here's just a handful of celebs to look out for in the video: Ben Folds, Maroon 5's Adam Levine, N.E.R.D.'s Pharrell, Tegan And Sara, Vanessa Carlton, Ryan Tedder, Josh Groban, Ingrid Michaelson, and reigning Internet lip sync king Keenan Cahill. (Can we just put him in every music video please?) Missing from most of "Uncharted," though, is Sara Bareilles herself. But she's on tour with Maroon 5 right now, so she probably needs a little bit of a break.
It must be really tough to be Sara Bareilles -- scrolling through the VIP address book in your cell phone and deciding who to call to help make your video. "Well, Beyonce's on vacation this week. And I couldn't make Justin Bieber's birthday party so I don't want to ask him for a favor..." We hate you, Sara! JK, we love you. It's just that we're jealous, you see.

Last week we hipped you to the sound of young band The Wonder Years, who take their name from the beloved 1980s TV dramedy that followed Kevin Arnold (played by Fred Savage) through the ups and downs of teenage life in 1960s America.
And then we realized. Dude. There are SO many TV show titles just waiting to be appropriated by a savvy emo band in need! Here are a few of our favorite TV show titles that SO need to be the name of an emo, screamo, or pop-punk band. Bands, thanks us later in your liner notes.
1.) St. Elsewhere: It's wistful! Plus, hospitals are so emo. Maybe they could play on stage in lab coats?
2.) Party of Five: The way Neve Campbell used to flip her hair? So emo! Matthew Fox's Charlie? Always on the verge of crying. Breathy ballads await!
3.) 21 Jump Street: No-brainer. Has a youthful exuberance, and these dressed cool and were kinda straight-edge. Plus: Johnny Depp references are always wins.
4.) Brand New Life: Might be biting the band Brand New a bit. Also? Shawnee Smith!
5.) Are You Afraid Of The Dark?: Has all the hallmarks of an emo band name. It's long, it's ambiguous, it hearkens back to your deep-seated childhood fears and it's kind of innocent. You're welcome, future emo band.
6.) In The Heat Of The Night: This '80s/'90s cop show even had totally emo-sounding episode titles. "Murder Most Ancient." "A Loss Of Innocence." Perfect for a screamo band.
7.) Hill Street Blues: Takes the cop show's title and gives it a melancholy, sitting-in-my-bedroom-in-the-Midwest vibe.
8.) Kate & Allie: Might be good for a Tegan & Sara-esque duo, provided their names are Kate and Allie.
9.) 8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter: Has just the right kind of youthful snottiness that goes well with youthful and snotty pop-punk.
10.) Perfect Strangers: The winking comedy, the subtle sadness, the reference to Balki Bartokomous!
11.) The War At Home: Everyone knows that home is where the heart gets broken. Plus there's "home" as a metaphor for your soul. Amazing right? This short-lived dramedy can live on as the name of some lucky band.
12.) Property Virgins: Sure, this is really a show about first-time home buyers, but it also suggests young people on the verge of adulthood, and therefore it's SUCH an excellent emo name!
13.) BONUS: My So-Called Life: Not only is this, like, the perfect emo band name, it's actually already in use! Congrats to England's My So-Called Life for being on the ball!

Paramore's off and running on the Honda Civic Tour, and frontwoman Hayley Williams just sent us her second tour blog from the road, and she's got nothing but love for the bands she's touring with. Read her first blog update here, and check out Posted.mtv.com for more photos, videos, blog posts and updates from Paramore.
Hey there. Blog No. 2 comin' at ya.
Couldn't really decide what I wanted to write about today. Then I realized that it's my blog so I can pretty much say whatever I want, right? It might seem like the easy route, but I have decided on sharing the wealth that is the Honda Civic Tour with all of you. And I will exploit the likeness of all our friends on tour with us at the moment.
In my personal opinion, this is one of the most diverse and credible lineups we've ever been a part of. There's something for everyone. So, I'll get down to it, and maybe you'll find some good music you can get into.
First up, as direct support, we brought along my favorite female artists on the scene. Canada's own Tegan and Sara. Their new album, "Sainthood," is my favorite of their six albums. (Listen to the song "The Ocean," it's so good it'll make you cry.) That's right, SIX albums. They've been doing their thing for something like 12 years now and are still producing incredible music. And the show they put on isn't even worth trying to explain in text form. I finally got to catch a show when they were in Nashville at The Ryman Auditorium. Watching them live turned me into an even bigger fan. Honestly, though, one of the greatest things about them -- to me, anyways -- is how they carry themselves both on and off the stage. It's not particularly easy being a woman in the industry (as we discussed in my last post) but to be two gay women in the industry seems to be a whole other thing. I'm sure they've faced many more judgments and wacky criticisms than I have. I respect their composure, their intelligence, their wit ... and I look up to them a lot. We're so proud to have them on the tour with us. If you're coming to a show, don't miss them! Get there and pay attention! Considering they've been around for twice as many years as we have, it's about time that everyone hears about this band.
You've probably heard their song "Walking With A Ghost," but check out their new video for a new song "On Directing."
Second on the bill, is my favorite pop punk band of all time. Ladies and gents, we have New Found Glory. Their seventh and latest album, Not Without A Fight, features them doing what they do best, which is playing frustratingly catchy songs with as much balls as you can imagine. From the southern part of Florida, they started out as a bunch of misfits and ended up taking over such giants as MTV. Even headlined the very tour we're all out on now. I think what I love most about them is how massive they were able to get without losing their heads. The same dudes who have a "retired" hit video from TRL (remember that show?) also play secret shows in their hometown of Coral Springs, Florida, and release EPs and vinyl on the very cool and influential hard-core label Bridge 9 Records. To me, that's what it means to make it. To be able to go to the top and still create art the way you want to create it. Hopefully, when we've been around as long as NFG have -- what, 13 years now? -- we'll be able to look back and see that we've done the same.
If you liked their video for "My Friends Over You," you have to see their new video for "Truck Stop Blues."

Now that they can tweet about their comings and goings, most celebs have left the land of blogging behind them. Believe me when I tell you it's much easier to whip out your BlackBerry and punch out, "LOL! @justinbieber! WTF!?" than it is to grind out an eloquent, well-reasoned blog post (with a photo!).
That said, some celebrities out there are still punching their card at the blog factory. So let's take a look at the best in the celebrity blogging biz.
+ Kanye West -- KanyeWest.com
The king of kings. Kanye West's old site, KanyeUniversity, was an unparalleled, all-caps view into the mind of one of mainstream music's most unique personalities. Kanye's new site loses a lot of the zany charm, but is no less an intimate look at what makes 'Yeezy tick -- namely Mario Testino photo shoots of almost-naked models and Big Sean videos.
+ Drake -- Octobersveryown.blogspot.com
Much like his friend Kanye, Drake and his blogging minions use OVO to highlight things Drake thinks are cool, thereby giving a peek into what Drake is actually like. This blog features vids, music and candid picks taken from the "Find Your Love" singer's BlackBerry.
+ Lourdes Ciccone -- blog.materialgirlcollection.com
The most famous of Madonna's various children (adopted or otherwise) has become something of a fashion blogging maven. In promotion of her and her mother's "Material Girl" fashion line, Lourdes has been writing about everything from Buzzworthy fave Nneka to the New York graffiti she finds inspiring.
+ Radiohead -- Radiohead.com/deadairspace
Radiohead's connection with their fans has served them well over the years. And one of the tools of that connection is their long-running Dead Air Space blog. The members of Radiohead take turns blogging playlists, plus there's Thom Yorke's sociopolitical musings and Jonny Greenwood extolling the virtues of the video game Red Dead Revolver.
+ Tegan And Sara -- TeganAndSara.com
While there's nothing out of the ordinary about Tegan And Sara's blog--it features the usual show announcements, photos and general tidbits of news -- it's one of the better written musician blogs out there.
+ Honorable Mentions: Courtney Love recently began fashion blogging at What Courtney Wore Today (this will surely be entertaining), Lil Wayne's defunct but awesome sports blogging for ESPN and Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino's new blog that will review showers across the world (amazingly called Get Clean Or Die Trying).

Last year Canadian folk-rock duo Tegan & Sara (and their art designer Emy Storey) teamed up with the footwear brand Macbeth to design their own sneakers. They even made a neat little video about the endeavor.
These fine-looking hi-tops would be a great find no matter what. But now you have all the more incentive to seek them out, as Tegan & Sara have taken the time out to personally customize two pairs of Macbeths and put them up for auction on the awesome Web site Crafts For A Cause. It's a charity Web site full of incredible donated memorabilia up for auction with all the proceeds going to Artists For Peace And Justice's efforts to help Haiti.
Other celeb goods up for auction: a microphone used by Christina Aguilera (!), the chance to have a song produced by Mark Ronson (!!), and decorated and signed robot costumes courtesy of Daft Punk (!!!).
To bid on the Tegan & Sara shoes (or ROBOTS!), head over to Crafts For A Cause or Bidding For Good. If we see you walking down the street dressed like a Daft Punk robot, we'll know you've done a very good deed!
As a treat, let's all watch the Tegan & Sara video for "Alligator." Even if they aren't rocking Macbeths in it, they still have awesome dance moves.

I know what you're doing this summer! And it has nothing to do with Jennifer Love Hewitt! The world's best twin, folk-pop duo, Tegan & Sara and the best female-fronted rock band from Nashville, Paramore, are teaming up to to bring some rock and roll (and some delicate harmonies and interesting haircuts) to the towns and cities of America this summer.
Tegan Quin recently took to her band's site to announce this momentous meeting of the musical minds. "We first heard about Paramore a few years ago and have been HUGE fans ever since," she says. "Their new record, Brand New Eyes, is one of our favorite releases of the year, and we're already practicing our dance moves in preparation for the tour."
Well, that pretty much says it all! We, too, love Paramore. Brand New Eyes is one of our favorite releases of the year, and we already have the dance moves down pat.
The tour starts July 23 in Raleigh, North Carolina, and will hit about 30 cities across the United States. Tickets go on sale March 22. Check Paramore's site for more info.
To celebrate this awesome news, peep Tegan & Sara's "The Con" and Paramore's "That's What You Get" below. See you in the pit!

Big news from the world of Death Cab For Cutie: DCFC guitarist/producer Chris Walla is saying, 'Pshaw,' to these desperate economic times and wading into the murky, unknown waters of small-business ownership with his own record label called Trans. Congrats, brosef!
Unlike most small businesses, Walla's new venture will operate under the protective wing of Atlantic Records, which is currently Death Cab's home base. According to BeatCrave, the label will kick off with the release of material from up-and-coming band The Lonely Forest, who hail from Walla's Pacific Northwest musical stomping grounds.
Aside from his work behind the boards with Death Cab, Walla has done production work for the likes of Tegan & Sara, The Decemberists and The Thermals. It's a successful track record that will undoubtedly serve him well while he scouts for new bands to release on Trans.
Nothing really signifies Walla & Co.'s success like their video for "Meet Me At The Equinox," the lead single from the New Moon soundtrack. Let's take a look back with the video below and applaud Chris on his new venture!

Get ready for some irresistibly sweet identical-twin bickering in this all-new installment of MTV Buzzworthy "The 5" interview with Tegan & Sara.
But first: We already know that Tegan & Sara are the jam. If you hate on 'em, you hate life. Their album, Sainthood, (produced by Death Cab For Cutie's Chris Walla) is one of the most pleasant listening experiences you're gonna have this year. So we're already on Team T&S.
But "The 5" is about things we don't know. In this clip Tegan & Sara talk about being misidentified as vegans, being underrated as bakers and being unheralded as visual artists. But most interesting are the tidbits about their creative process; namely, that they write separately, rather than collaboratively, despite the preconceived notion that twins in a band must write together.
The more you know, right? Check out the below interview and get ready to be charmed.

Hey, Tegan & Sara, we love you. We love the ornate vocal harmonies and angular melodies on your awesome new album, Sainthood. We love the singing you did on that lush techno joint you did with Tiesto ("I Feel It In My Bones"). But for rillz... these new MTV pics? You're killing us.
Stop being so damn adorable. It's not fair. It looks like you walked off the cover of a Belle & Sebastian album cover, for heaven's sakes. Give us all a break! Be less awesome!
