Arizona rockers The Maine were a long way from home when we caught up with them for a stripped-down "Buzzworthy Live" session in Brazil. We bet they totally missed hanging out in their local snow-covered desert when they were hard chilling at the beach in swim trunks with a round of Snooki-size cocktails. (We didn't actually see that go down, except in our winter daydreams. It's officially socks season in the ol' U. S. of A. Sad face.)

But The Maine were down south to rock, quietly, offering up a stripped-down take on "Waiting for My Sun to Shine" for our cameras. You'll see singer John O'Callaghan and (freshly bearded!) guitarist Jared Monaco soaking up the black-and-white sun on a busy city street. The wind's blowing, John and Jared are gazing into each other's eyes -- it's intimate, y'all. And the duo turns the rock anthem, a guitar-packed track from this month's new album, Pioneer, into a simple acoustic ballad that stays sensitive, even as police sirens blare by in the background.

Extra props for John's cutoff buffalo T-shirt and Jared's sick Clubmasters -- these guys are roaming the world in style.

There must be some serious creative juice spiking the water of Tempe, Ariz. The Maine, who hail from the sun-kissed part of the country, have already penned books, released a box set and produced and scored a film -– and they've only been a band since 2007. Add to this they've just entered their early 20s. And now you feel like a procrastinator.

The quintet -– singer John O'Callaghan, guitarists Jared Monaco and Kennedy Brock, bassist Garrett Nickelsen, and drummer Pat Kirch -– are set to drop their third full-length studio album, Pioneer, and we got our hands on one of the tracks, "I'm Sorry." The group says they worked on the album on a farm using an upright piano. John played a couple of notes on the piano, and the group constructed a chord structure around it. They make it seem so easy.

You can hear the rhythmic two notes throughout "I'm Sorry," a reflective anchor as the band's winsome melodies wrap around it. It's a complementary ballad base for the lyrics, which express regret. "I keep thinking of you/I hurt you again/I shouldn't lie tonight, so the next few words are true," sings John before the repentant build to the chorus: "Never again, never again. No...I'm sorry, I'm not what you wanted. I'm sorry, I'm sorry I let you down."

Pioneer is out tomorrow, Dec. 6, on Action Theory.

The boys from The Maine, who are currently touring behind their Black & White album in England, sat down with Buzzworthy to have a little chat about being in high school, being in a band, having fans who love them and whether George Michael knows who they are.

We first learn about how some members of this five-piece signed their names on a record label contract before they saw their names on their high school diplomas.

Then we move on to the wonderful world of internet popularity. It's widely assumed that The Maine owe a lot of their success to social network sites like MySpace. Just don't that to tell singer John O'Callaghan: "I don't think we're famous. If we were famous we'd be making money," he says.

Don't go thinking these dudes are a bunch of sour apples, though. The Maine genuinely seem to have affection for their fans, as you can see when they recount some of the band-themed tattoos they've come across in the past. They also have an excellent sense of humor about George Michael and their cover of Wham!'s "Last Christmas."

Watch The Maine's Buzzworthy Q&A, as well as their video for "Inside Of You," both below. The Maine's Black & White album is out now.

Last week we gave you a sneak peek at The Maine's new video, "Inside Of You," from its recently released Black & White album. And now, as promised, we have the full-length clip.

The Arizona band's basically made two videos in one here. There's a performance aspect, shot in crisp black and white, as the band rocks out in a stark white room on a black-and-white tiled floor.

Alternatively, there's a narrative aspect. Shot in blurry black-and-white bordering on sepia tones, we follow a young boy as he navigates his way through a wake for an old man who one assumes is his grandfather.

The old man "visits" the boy, giving him a magical telescope. When the boy looks through the scope, he sees a world full of magical colors and characters. Pretty beautiful and meaningful, too.

Neon face paint stilt walkers, contortionists, confetti and balloons. No, this isn't a Ke$ha video. And it's not a Katy Perry video, either. It's a sneak peek of The Maine's new "Inside Of You" video, off of its new album, Black & White. We're only 30 seconds in (because that's all we've got), and the contrast between a psycho circus and turn-of-century sepia-toned little boy have us beyond intrigued.

Check out this exclusive sneak peek of The Maine's "Inside Of You" video, directed by Mike Jones and Jim Sullos, and don't miss the full-length premiere on MTV this Monday, July 19.

It feels like a million years since The Maine released its debut album Can't Stop, Won't Stop. (OK, "technically" speaking, it's been two years, but we were never all that good at math.)

Regardless, we're in desperate need of some new tunes. Thankfully, ask and ye shall receive, because the band is currently streaming "Growing Up" -- a new song off its long-awaited upcoming album Black & White -- on its official MySpace page.

"Growing Up" definitely hints at a new musical direction for the band: It sounds like it might be trading clap-along choruses and simple boy-meets-girl lyrics in favor of a more stripped-down, Americana-inspired sound. Sounds like someone's been listening to a lot of Limbeck and Wilco lately -- and we totally back it.

Something Corporate (Credit: Noel Vasquez/Getty Images)

When I rolled up to Bamboozle Left yesterday afternoon, I was immediately bombarded with a zillion texts saying, "Did you hear? The Jonas Brothers are TOTES playing with Something Corporate tonight!! Freal!" I nearly stopped dead in my tracks and said out loud, "Shut! The! Door!"

As the day wore on -- and bands like Never Shout Never, Hey Monday, The Maine and Orianthi rocked the stage -- I kept my eyes peeled for any of the Jo Bro fros. Unfortunately, the only sighting I had was of Simon Rex, who was playing the fest as his rap alter ego Dirt Nasty. What a disappointment on so many levels.

The Jonas Brothers did eventually show up (Nick and Joe, at least), but only to oogle Andrew McMahon and a newly reformed Soco from the side of the stage. Bummer to the max. Guess that collaboration will have to wait. However, Something Corporate just announced they'll be playing Bamboozle in Chicago on May 15. I wonder if an appearance at Bamboozle in New Jersey -- and a possible Jonas Brothers duet -- is imminent? One can only hope.

Finally, a week or so ago, I spotted Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato getting their pop-punk on at New Found Glory's gig at Hollywood's House Of Blues. Between their love for NFG and Soco, I wonder if the band is burnin' up for a new musical direction? As you ponder that horrible pun, check out more pictures from Bamboozle Left after the jump!

It's been a while since we heard from The Maine. They haven't called, bought us flowers or taken us dancing in a really long time.

However, just when we were about to delete them from our buddy list, we learned that the Arizona-based band has been busy partnering with IC Bus for the second-annual America's Greenest Schools contest, which is hunting to find the most environmentally conscious school in the country.

The winning school will get a hybrid-powered bus, a green makeover and a scholarship. Plus, they'll also get a free concert from The Maine. (Cue screaming teenage girls!)

For contest details, check out America's Greenest Schools' site. In the meantime, enjoy a return trip to The Maine's "Into Your Arms" clip.

Holy V-neck, Batman, I thought Zac Efron was putting out singles for a minute there. But it's actually a spruced-up John O'Callaghan of The Maine, and dude deserves a raise, because that blazer is looking all. right. on him. Don't get me wrong: I enjoyed the entirety of The Maine in their airport appearances (as part of the band's tour diary from a few months back, trust me, the dance parties were memorable), but this new production goes the extra mile, I would say, to hold my attention.

And yes, The Maine's new video, "Into Your Arms," off Can't Stop Won't Stop, is set in an airport and runs backwards -- VERY MUCH like David Cook's "Come Back To Me" video! But what David Cook's video lacks that The Maine has in spades is John O'Callaghan's lip curl! Hearts!

Watch a (former? potential?) flame going backwards in time through extreme airport hell while the guys of The Maine remain cool amidst chaos. I feel for this girl. But at least her hair looks good. And she also has a really close encounter with John. Why doesn't that happen to me at LaGuardia!?

Hit The Lights clearly didn't have a very good time in high school. The hard-hitting Lima, Ohio five-piece that takes its name from a track on Metallica's Kill 'Em All appears to be working out some old aggression in brand-new video, "Drop The Girl." Basically it's a revenge fantasy that takes aim at every bitter dude's favorite target: cruel hot chicks, AKA chicks out of their league. Oh, and the album is called Skip School, Start Fights. Hit The Lights, WHAT WENT WRONG???

But wait... Look at Hit The Lights. Burly arms, straight teeth, nice hats... They're kinda studly, right? What do they have to complain about? And not only that, but they're about to hit the road with 3OH!3, The Maine and way more of your favorite bands on the 2009 AP Tour. Girls love dudes in bands on big tours! I mean, don't you? Girls? Here, watch "Drop The Girl." Hit The Lights is waiting for you.
