Model/MTV reality star/early adopter of social media and sometimes-singer Tila Tequila steps into the spotlight as both a singer and a survivor in her new video for her cover of the 1981 Yoko Ono song "Walking on Thin Ice."

You know when a video starts with your boyfriend saying, "You know I will never hurt you, right?" it's going to get ugly real quick. And it does, as the Lamarck-directed video reveals the unraveling of Tila's relationship with her quick-to-anger, soon-to-be ex-fiancé. Things take a turn for the extremely dramatic once breakfast in bed turns into screaming matches, makeup sex, an act of violence not unlike those captured on the TV show "Snapped," and a visit from the cops.

We have to give Tila credit for empowering and encouraging women not to tolerate an abusive relationship. Tila said she recorded the song "at a time when my life was complicated and I was emotionally drained." Of the video's violence and abuse, she said, "The video was created in a way where the woman isn't just the victim; she is also a survivor. I want women to see that you can get out of an abusive relationship and hopefully do it BEFORE something horrible happens to you or your partner. I am hoping that people can see that this video doesn't promote or glorify abuse; that in fact, it is promoting change and strength."

"Walking on Thin Ice" is from Tila Tequila's 2010 EP, Welcome To The Darkside.

So let's just go ahead and call this week's roundup the "Weekend Edition," in which we nostalgically celebrate the Web's best content since Monday.

1.) Guess who was at the premiere of "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never"! If you guessed the most rando celebs EVAR!!!, such as Mario Van Peebles and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, then you would be a winner. But you know who wasn't there? You, probably. Oh, burn. (Buzzfeed)

2.) Funnyman Zach Galifianakis has released another edition of his fake talk show "Between Two Ferns," this time featuring MTV reality star Tila Tequila and some other actress...what's her name, I forget? Oh yeah, Jennifer Aniston. (Funny or Die)

3.) This is possibly the coolest website ever. Play any number of these videos at the same time, starting them whenever, as loud as you want, like seriously do whatever, and I promise you it will sound AMAZING, like some next-level indie-movie soundtrack. Trust. (inbflat.net)

4.) 2011 mtvU Woodie nominee B.o.B thought it would be really cool/funny/mind-blowing to perform his hit song "Airplanes" on an airplane. And he was right. (Idolator)

5.) Hipster Little Mermaid is my favorite LOL of the week for two reasons. 1: "Part of Your World" was THE defining Disney song of my generation, and 2: She kinda looks like me. (Tumblr)

6.) Travis Barker, he of the many tattoos, has remixed Kanye West and Jay-Z's boast track "H.A.M." And it goes a little something like this. (Rap-Up)

7.) The Glee kids are going on tour all over this fair continent of ours ("ours" referring to those of us in North America... sorry Chile!), and ZOMG here are the tour dates. (Vulture)

8.) As you may know, even though he currently does not, Jon "Hammsome" Hamm is my husband. And this week he was in my neighborhood repeatedly saying the word "butthole" in the context of the alternative rock band The Butthole Surfers. Paul Rudd was there too. Good times. (Huffington Post)

9.) The glittery electro-pop kids in Passion Pit have remixed Bruno Mars' newish track "Grenade," and it is amazing, just the way you are. (Nylon)

10.) Kittens Riding A Roomba. 'Nuff said. (Urlesque)

In case you somehow still need more reasons to tune into the Internet's best new show, I've compiled $5 Cover's steamiest scenes to give you a taste of just how far director Craig Brewer is willing to push the envelope. Clearly we're too classy enough (right, Tila?!) to broadcast all-out porn, but the Hustle & Flow director so expertly wields the power of suggestion, that at times it's even hotter than the real thing.

1. A New Drummer: Bass Master
$5 Cover's very first scene catches blues whisperer Amy LaVere in the act, doing a fearsome sans-pants tango with her stand-up bass. Scene 1! Memphis doesn't waste any time.

2. A New Drummer: Bed-Hopping
Minutes after Amy's private band practice sesh comes to an end, we meet her buddy Clare Grant, who's also lost her pants. But Clare's not wrestling an instrument. She's rolling around with Amy's boyfriend. Well, that is, until Amy walks in.

3. Head Change: Clare & Present Danger
After a spirited parking lot pep talk, Memphis rap clown Muck Sticky and kinky Clare take to the stage with an act that includes semi-nude S&M antics. Blame it on the Memphis heat!

4. Memphis Drama: Valerie's Secret
Valerie June is as cool and mellow as $5 Cover characters come. The drawling, dreadlocked singer-songwriter provides frequent easygoing comic relief. But there's no relief from Valerie's breakfast attire in Episode 3, which leaves nothing to the imagination!

5: Things to come...
Believe it or not, $5 Cover's steamiest clips are still yet to come! The new episodes premiering on MTV every Friday include new lovers, a heartbreak, a heart attack and a very physical reunion between Clare Grant and Lucero singer Ben Nichols. If you think your heart rate's up for all that action, check out new episodes of $5 Cover, and get more behind-the-scenes looks at $5 Cover on the $5 Cover blog.

For those of you who missed last night's Los Premios awards, here's your 30-second recap: Paramore rocked, Katy Perry rolled, and Tokio Hotel took home not one but FOUR tongue-shaped trophies (for "Best Fan Club," "Best Song of the Year," "Best Ringtone," and "Best International New Artist.") And now, a few visual aids for your voyeuristic viewing pleasure!

First up: Here's Paramore's Hayley Williams and the lovely -- and still icing-free! -- Katy Perry. (More on that later, though...)

And here's Shot at Love star Tila Tequila (and Dancing with the Stars has-been Kim Kardashian) rounding out the reality quotient. Flavor Flav was also in attendance, FYI, but since giant clock bling gives us the heebie jeebies, you'll have to check out the red carpet flipbook to peep his gear.

Plus, how could our photo montage be complete with a shot of the evening's big winners? Give it up for Tokio Hotel and admire their matching black-and-white attire. Coordinating your outfit ahead of time...it's not just for 13 year-old girls anymore!

Want more? Head over to MTVTr3s for a complete list of the winners, plus check out these live performances and these onstage and red carpet photo highlights for a behind-the-scenes look at what went down.

And speaking of what went down, remember that Katy Perry story we hinted at earlier? Well, check out this vid and watch what happens when she tries to have her cake and fall in it, too. Although, truth be told, falling's the easy part. It's the getting-back-up-again-without-slip-sliding-around-in-a-sea-of-icing that appears to present a problem...

Wait! Before you check out all the amahzing Los Premios coverage on Blogamole, you'll wanna see Paramore's super-charged live performance of "That's What You Get." (We heart you, Hayley!!!)

We can't believe the 2008 VMAs are (finally) over. And as much as we enjoyed watching Tokio Hotel win Best New Artist -- and seeing the Jo Bros get mobbed by a bunch of (fake) New Yorkers -- we're ready for our favorite post-awards show pastime: deconstructing the latest fashions. Check out our red carpet roundup (and the Official VMAs Photo Flipbook) and let us know which trends you loved, and which ones should go straight to the back of the closet.

Trend: Glitter-Glam
When we said the stars would shine on the VMAs red carpet tonight, we meant it. Britney Spears sparkled in silver (the perfect color to match her three new Moonmen!) while The Hills' Audrina Patridge and country gal Taylor Swift glittered in gold. Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus bedazzled in a black 20's-inspired frock and Katy Perry glimmered from head to toe in an precious metals mini. The overall effect? Reflective radiance. Or just really, really expensive tin foil. Fortunately, we happen to dig the whole couture-meets-Reynold's-Wrap mashup.

Trend: Wearing White After Labor Day
Forgot those uptight snobs who blanch at the thought of wearing white after the unofficial end of summer. White is the new black, dammit! And if you don't believe us, then maybe you'll take Lauren Conrad's word for it. (Or, for that matter, LL Cool J, Ashley Tisdale, Cee-Lo or Chris Brown's.) Personally, we're feeling a bit overwhelmed. On the one hand, there's a sense of liberation. (No more hue-related stigmas, huzzah!) On the other hand? White's not exactly the most slimming of colors. Also, whenever we wear it, we invariably spill piping hot coffee all over ourselves. Speaking of which, anyone got a Tide pen?

Trend: Hot Strapless Gowns
Sure, formfitting strapless numbers have always been in style. But this year, we're seeing way more variety in terms of color, shape and size. Some went with long gowns (as in Pink's candy-striped number and Christina Aguilera's cobwebby fishtail) while others chose to go short and sweet (a la Stephanie Pratt's black getup and Paris' two-toned taffeta). And despite the onslaught of decolletage, there wasn't a single wardrobe malfunction to be found. Which means our strapless stylistas remembered the three magic words: double-stick tape.

Trend: Black And White (And Red All Under)
In the old days, wearing plain old black-and-white was so funereal. Done incorrectly, you either looked like Morticia Adams, or else a cross between Pirates of the Caribbean and the soloist from your high school chorus. But celebs these days seem to understand there's a pretty big gray area between chic and geek. Tonight's polychromatic standouts include the Jonas Brothers, Tila Tequila, Lindsay Lohan, Lil Wayne and Tokio Hotel's Bill Kaulitz, who gets double-props for making sure his hair totes matched his outfit.

Trend: Mad Hatters
Another big 2008 VMAs trend? Men in pimped-out headgear. From Shwayze's sideways baseball cap (very Fresh Prince of Bel-Air!) to Slash's trademark top hat to Kid Rock and Lil Wayne's fedoras, rims were most definitely this evening. Which still doesn't even begin to explain the fire engine red, Cat in the Hat-style chapeau sitting (three feet) atop T-Pain's head.

Trend: Vest to Impress
And last but not least, another menswear trend sweeping the carpet this evening: the vest. TH's Bill Kaulitz sported the leather (or was it pleather??) variety while Gym Class Heroes' Travis McCoy favored the preppy-punk grayscale look. Jermaine Dupri and Lupe Fiasco refused to follow the Pussycat Dolls' advice and loosen up their buttons, babe, while Ryan Sheckler kept his vest wide open, presumably to show off his shiny chest bling.

+ Did we miss anything? Check out what everyone was wearing in the VMAs 2008 Red Carpet Flipbook. Then, tell us your favorite red carpet must-haves and let us know who you think deserves to win best/worst-dressed.
