We are so thankful for the Hood Internet. Not only do these dudes make art with real tacos (blasphemy or genius?), but we're way into their mashups. Like, WAY INTO. Our latest obsession: "Some Creeps," which finally brings together two artists who were basically born to collaborate with each other -- TLC and Michael McDonald, of course! Because nothing complements '90s R&B girl groups the way Mikey McD's husky, soulful crooning does.

The Hood Internet brought back one of TLC's mainstays -- the 1994 jam about steppin' out on yo man, "Creep" -- and they mixed it with Holy Ghost's "Some Children," featuring none other than our favorite Doobie Bro, Michael McDonald. And here, where you would ask yourself "Um, why?" ask yourself "Why not?!" The result: a CrazySexyCool party jam that will please both '90s kids and the Doob fans in your social circle. (Get one of those friends if you don't have one already. Expand your horizons.)

The '90s were an era of "issues." Crime, poverty and the AIDS epidemic were all major themes in popular culture, and artists weren't shy about addressing them. One of the most iconic music videos to deal with these themes was TLC's 1995 hit "Waterfalls," which addressed two major problems of the day: drug violence and AIDS.

The third single off TLC's 1994 sophomore album CrazySexyCool, "Waterfalls" helped keep the all-female R&B/hip-hop group at the top of the charts after their first single,"Creep," became their first No. 1 hit. Although they were known for their outrageous fashion, Chilli, Left Eye and T-Boz dressed it down a little bit for "Waterfalls" with color-coordinated baggy pants and crop tops. There were serious matters to discuss!

Directed by F. Gary Gray, the "Waterfalls" video played like an after-school special, warning against the dangers of gang wars and unprotected sex. (I'm pretty sure I vowed to stay a virgin forever after watching the guy in the second half waste away.) In the end, to hammer their point home, the girls turned into elemental water spirits(!), an impressive technological feat at the time. The heartstring-pulling jam became the group's biggest hit, staying at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks, winning five(!!!) 1995 MTV Video Music Awards, and proving that it pays to care about the important stuff.

Unfortunately, the women of TLC were plagued by many problems themselves, their chaotic personal lives often threatening to overshadow their music. The group was further shaken when a tragic car accident took the life of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in 2002. Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas completed their fourth album, but ultimately decided there could be no TLC without Lopes. Nevertheless, "T" and "C" continue to perform together, and they've both kept busy with solo albums, charity work and Thomas' handbag line, "Bags By Chilli."

We understand the irony of a guy who's made a career out of yelling "WHAAT?" and "OKAAY!" over hip-hop tracks showing up at the finale of the nation's premier singing competition. We really do. Those kids practiced for years to get their voices where they are, and in typical Lil Jon fashion, Lil Jon just kind of shows up at the finale and says "YEEAAAHHH" in his signature spastic-chill way. Because when you're as unflappable as Lil Jon, even a show as huge as the "American Idol" finale simply ain't no thang. Who are we kidding? Lil Jon could show up anywhere and make it that much more awesome.

Lil Jon introduced the amazing TLC last night on the show. "Idol" judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler (and also Jack Black, of all people!) were also on the red carpet for yesterday's finale, where 17-year-old country singer Scotty McCreery became the 10th "American Idol" winner. This is the first season that former "Idol" judge (and "Idol" impresario) Simon Cowell has been off the show since he left to work on his new singing competition franchise, The X Factor, which, by the way, made headlines yesterday when it was announced that Pussycat Doll frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger would be taking the place of British pop royalty Cheryl Cole as one of the judges. Which got us thinking...

Hey "Idol," why don't you have Lil Jon on as one of the judges? He's already got a built-in grading system. "WHAAT?" if it's bad, "OKAAY" if it's, well, and "YEEAAH" if it's great. See? Genius.

In her new video for "Pretty Girl Rock," from her upcoming No Boys Allowed album, Keri Hilson plays dress-up while paying homage to a few important pretty girls throughout history.

The video begins in black and white with Keri Hilson transforming into legendary '20s jazz singer Josephine Baker, and then into film star Dorothy Dandridge. "Pretty Girl Rock" switches to color when Keri shows up as '40s girl group The Andrews Sisters, followed by the one and only Diana Ross, disco diva Donna Summer, "Rhythm Nation"-era Janet Jackson and finally a silk pajama-wearing T-Boz in TLC's "Creep" video. (100 bonus points for the authenticity of that wig!) At the end of the video, the real Keri Hilson, donning a simple T-shirt and jeans, leads the pretty girl pack.

"Pretty Girl Rock" is a fun, mid-tempo anthem inviting girls (and boys, no judgment) to throw on some heels, strut their stuff and "do the pretty girl rock." And the "Pretty Girl Rock" video is basically a four-minute makeover montage and, hello, who doesn't love makeover montages?

Word around the campfire is that Usher's still-delayed new album, Raymond vs. Raymond, is going to be the musical equivalent of a tell-all book, with Usher pulling back the veil on his failed marriage with Tameka Foster.

This is, commercially and artistically, a good look for Usher, seeing as how last time he took a look in the mirror, musically speaking, it produced 2004's Confessions. That album, which was allegedly about the infidelities that crippled his relationship with T.L.C. singer Chilli, catapulted Usher to the top of the pop heap, producing songs like "Yeah" and "Throwback."

After the light flirtations of "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)," Usher will surely get tongues wagging with "Guilty." Produced by the talented Ester Dean ("Drop It Low"), "Guilty" starts out with TMI and never retracts, with Usher singing, "I guess I'm guilty for wanting to be up in the club, I guess I'm guilty cause girls always want to show me love, I guess I'm guilty for leaving and having a little fun."

T.I. joins in on the action, claiming, "she ain't caught me on no Tiger Woods s--t, knew what I expected when she met me."

One listen and it's clear that heartbreak and 808s are the magic formula for more artists than just Kanye West. This is probably the best Usher track since his mid-decade glory days. Raymond vs. Raymond is due out March 26.

With an album title like Battle Of The Sexes, you'd probably expect Ludacris' collection of new tracks to be about confrontations between men and women. There's definitely some of that, but it's also a great platform for female rappers. On most of Sexes' tracks, a lady MC or singer squares off with Luda, including the likes of Trina, Nicki Minaj, Eve, Diamond, Monica and Shawnna.

With that in mind, we were curious about Ludacris' 10 favorite female MCs. Check out the list and videos from his favorite ladies of rhyme and tell us if you agree.

By the way, if you want a taste of Ludacris' Battle of the Sexes, check out his video for "My Chick Bad" featuring Nicki Minaj.

T.I. may've offered to prove his love via a hardcore boutique binge in "Whatever You Like," but Bow Wow's taking his commitment to you step beyond that. And if Bow Wow's told you once, he's told you a THOUSAND times before -- he loves your mind AND your body! He EVEN SAYS SO in "You Can Get It All."

You still sending me crazy emails
Like i know it's just sex you want
I can't lie the sex is truly incredible
And every part of your body is so edible
I get tears from just thinking bout it

Awww! What a sweetie!

Check out Bow Wow's "You Can Get It All" video, directed by Hype Williams. The single was produced by Jermaine Dupri, BTW, and that familiar sample? It's TLC's "Baby-Baby-Baby." Fun fact -- Jermaine Dupri also makes a cameo in TLC's "Baby-Baby-Baby" video! (Watch it after the jump.) Also, does anyone wanna let that girl know that her butt is showing?

PS: You've only got one day left to ask Bow Wow a question!

Keri Hilson is the kinda high "Energy" gal who can take doorknob-sized earrings, hipstery knit hats, and platform shoes and make it work. Add to that a sound that's one-part Rihanna "Umbrella" and two parts Beyonce "Ring the Alarm," plus Aaliyah-style choreography and the best surprise rap since Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes' verse in TLC's "Waterfalls" -- and you've got yourself a hit (otherwise known as Hilson's new video, "Turnin Me On.")

Helping Keri seal the deal -- and push her chest-bumpin' vid into must-see territory -- is rapper/pants-dropper extraodinaire Lil Wayne, who was kind enough to supply his own wardrobe (i.e. matching his and hers K-Fed tanks!) So check out Hilson's latest, give it up for her sleek biker chick-meets-Park-Slope wardrobe and feel free to ogle/drool over the parade of shirtless dudes who look like they jumped off the cover of Abs Weekly magazine.
