Fans who were bummed when Metro Station's original members broke up will be pumped to welcome the return of Trace Cyrus and his new project, Ashland HIGH. Cyrus has taken the production reins, writing all the lyrics and singing all of the songs himself. Ashland HIGH's debut album, Geronimo, was recorded at Cyrus' home studio in November and he released it as a free download for fans on New Year's Eve. We didn't know New Year's also came with presents!
The first video and single from Geronimo is "Jealous Lover." According to Cyrus, it's about how "it is so easy to fight and be jealous when you should just be happy and in love." Trace practices what he preaches in the video, where he and his love interest are seen traipsing happily around Venice Beach -– dancing at a party, shopping, hanging out at the beach. It's all so sunny! Well, until the fighting sets in. "So take a little cue from a jealous lover, what's not yours is mine/So go and take a hint from a jealous lover, there's no compromise," he sings. "I'm playing to win, playing to win." It ends rather tragically (ain't that the way with love songs?).
Moral of the story -– take it from Cyrus: "Just be happy and in love."

For a band, picking out which songs to play for a live show is no easy task. Luckily, for indie-pop upstarts Frank And Derol -- singer/keyboardist Cody Caraco and singer/guitarist Brandi Cyrus -- they've got a couple experienced musicians to help out.
After all, what good is being related to Trace, Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus if you can't get insider tips on crafting the perfect set list?
Check out the video below for a closer look at how Frank and Derol determine what goes into their set list.

When I first heard Good Charlotte's Benji Madden was set to box against former MTV VJ Riki Rachtman, my first thought was, "HUH?" followed by "WTF??" Followed, finally, by "AWESOME." Benji and Riki fought last Friday in Las Vegas, and Benji Madden knocked out the "Headbangers Ball" figurehead in 1 minute and 40 seconds. In other words, Rachtman got served!
If Benji's itching to get back in the ring anytime soon, I can think of plenty of people I'd love to see him go toe-to-toe with, including the following potential human punching bags. More Madden boxing buddies after the jump!

(Credit: Charley Gallay/WireImage)
Trace Cyrus: Now that Metro Station is no longer together, Trace has plenty of time to hit the jump and bulk up. Hell, who am I kidding? This guy weighs 90 pounds soaking wet. A fight between him and Madden wouldn't be a civil match -- it'd be an emo bloodbath.

+ Sad news for fans of the band Metro Station. It appears that the electro-rock outfit, which counts Mason Musso and Trace Cyrus as members, may have called it a day. The band was scheduled to appear at Towson University's Tigerfest next month but pulled out. According to the school's campus activities, the band told the school they had called it quits. (Alternative Press)
+ While her brother's band was breaking up, Miley Cyrus was on "Ellen" talking about getting together ... with her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth. Miley told Ellen that she knew there was something special about her The Last Song co-star when, upon first meeting, he held the door for her. Who says romance is dead? (MTV News)
+ Lady Gaga is in talks with a London eyewear company to design her own line of specs and shades. The label, Linda Farrow, has previously collaborated with the likes of Róisin Murphy. No word yet on whether the cigarette shades from the "Telephone" video will be included in the line. (WWD)
+ If you want to go on a date with Pink, don't bother making reservations at The Ivy or Nobu; 7-Eleven will do just fine. The "Sober" singer recently enjoyed a preconcert date with her man, Carey Hart. The menu? Beer in a can and string cheese. Anything else would be uncivilized! (I'm Not Obsessed)
+ Ke$ha recently went swimming in the ocean and picked up some indie-rock credibility at the same time. The "Blah Blah Blah" singer was spotted at legendary surfer hangout Bondi Beach, in Australia, rocking a Pixies T-shirt. (Just Jared)
+ Some inspired genius has put together a gallery of LOL Cats re-enacting Twilight. (Film Drunk)

Almost Alice, the collection of songs inspired by Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland, has been a big topic around the Buzzworthy campfire for a while now. Why? Because it features so many of our favorite bands, like Tokio Hotel, All-American Rejects and All Time Low.
We've already heard from Metro Station's Mason Musso and Trace Cyrus about their song, "Where's My Angel," and we've checked out the moody, atmospheric video for Avril Lavigne's "Alice." Now, it's time to hear from the boys in Motion City Soundtrack about their album contribution, "Always Running Out Of Time."
In this interview with the folks over at Seventeen.com, frontman Justin Pierre and his bandmates talk about how the song came about, their affection for the work of Tim Burton and the song's speedy recording process.
Check out the interview below. Motion City Soundtrack's My Dinosaur Life is currently available, as is Almost Alice, which came out today, March 2.

Check out this video of singer/guitarist Mason Musso and bandmate Trace Cyrus talking about the film, the song and throwing Hannah Montana—aka Cyrus' sis Miley—down the rabbit hole. (Buzznet)
+ This one should be called, "When an American Idol runner-up attacks!" Adam Lambert recently let his claws loose on Britain's Got Talent winner Susan Boyle when he told MTV News that Boyle's album is "terrible" and that her cover of The Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses" made him cry "with laughter." Me-ow. (MTV News)
+ You've got Kim Yu-Na fever, I've got Kim Yu-Na fever, we've all got Kim Yu-Na fever! With women's figure skating in full flight, Idolator had the brilliant idea to super-impose your favorite pop stars' heads onto the skating phenom's body. Check out Ke$ha, Lady Gaga and Jay-Z pulling off triple toe loops like it ain't no thing. (Idolator)
+ Frankie Muniz—the secret agent formerly known as Cody Banks—spent most of his young life acting in films, so what does he do for an encore? He does what most guys do in their early 20s: He starts a band. The Malcom In The Middle star is now drumming for the Arizona rock band You Hang Up. Read an interview with Muniz and hear some music here. (PopEater)
+ Stop making sense, indeed. Check out the Cyndi Lauper and Tori Amos duet "Why Don't You Love Me," taken from the new David Byrne (Talking Heads) and Fatboy Slim-penned musical Here Lies Love, which chronicles the life and times of politician and shoe maven Imelda Marcos (We Are Pop Slags)
