The Temper Trap are a small band with a big sound from down under. We already gave you the buzz on Temper Trap a while back, but here's a refresher course.

Think U2/Coldplay anthems meet Death Cab subtlety. Their song "Sweet Disposition" has been gathering a lot of steam, appearing on (500 Days) Of Summer soundtrack and popping up on TV all over.

In this MTV Discover & Download interview, Temper Trap talks about their humble beginnings, the various permutations of band names they went through (before they settled on The Temper Trap), and the Melbourne, Australia music scene.

You'll also find out more about their "Sweet Disposition," video, the concept for which  revolves around them playing live... in outer space. Boldly go where no man has gone before, and check out The Temper Trap at Discover & Download. And check out "Sweet Disposition" below the interview.

The performances at the 2009 MTV Europe Awards were like hitting "shuffle" on your iPod... except exponentially more intense. Shakira and Beyonce, Jay-Z, Leona Lewis, U2, Green Day, Foo Fighters, and Tokio Hotel -- all celebrated popular music's bounty, from U2's timeless unifier, "One," to Shakira's box-fresh "Did It Again."

Watch each and every live performance from the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards now.

Here's what you need to know about the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin.

+ Katy Perry's hosting! Fun and fashion are expected... if not DEMANDED!

+ Rock royalty Foo Fighters and Green Day, hip-hop kingpin Jay-Z, the lycanthropic Shakira, and the gorgeous Leona Lewis will all perform too.

+ ... And Hometown heroes TOKIO HOTEL will perform! LIVE. Digest that.

+ U2 will hold a special musical performance in front of Berlin's Brandenburg Gate.

+ Pete Wentz will be hosting the online show with exclusive backstage access.

+ And THE JONAS BROTHERS AND BACKSTREET BOYS are presenting! It's like boy bands' greatest hits go to Germany!

+ More presenters include the darling Miranda Cosgrove, and the empirically bananas-hot Bar Refaeli, Joss Stone, and more.

It's like the VMAs but with a more impressive passport.

The Temper Trap may or may not get big, but damned if they don't already sound big. The Australian band, led by singer/guitarist Dougy Mandagi, makes expansive, propulsive anthems ready-made for arenas and festivals. I will go out on a limb (see me out there/) and say that I haven't heard a band that sound this epic and sprawling and accessible since Coldplay got all "Yellow."

It's been a case of accelerated development for the band. In the last two years they've played the Glastonbury Festival, worked with DJ Shadow and recorded their debut album, Conditions. Check out the video for their beautiful track "Sweet Dispositions" (which calls to mind a holy union of Thom Yorke's vocals and The Edge's guitar sound), which you may remember if you saw the Joseph-Gordon-Levitt-Zooey-Deschanel-sittin'-in-a-tree flick, (500) Days Of Summer.

The chorus of 3OH!3's manic, pulsating new single, "Starstrukk," goes "L-O-V-E's just another word I never learned to pronounce." Sean and Nat set out to prove that sentiment in their overstimulating orgy of a new video.

The boys are visible only as faces in a pit of writhing bodies. And while there's ample evidence of the nice legs, daisy dukes, tight jeans and double-Ds referenced in the lyrics, there are also ravers, Halloween skeletons, b-boys, middle-aged men and punk chicks gnawing at each other's fishnets, giving new meaning to the phrase, "put your foot in your mouth."

The "Starstrukk" video, shot in reverse, eventually gets around to explaining how 3OH!3 got themselves into such a fleshy mess. But don't get too hung up on explanations. Enjoy the orgy while it lasts.

"Starstrukk" is the second single to be released form 3OH!3's Want album. Watch the video, a frenzied, foot-fetishist's dream, right here.

+ Dated reference point: U2's "Numb" meets the cast of Daria.

Chris Daughtry and his band take a somber look at the state of small-town America in the dramatic video for first Leave This Town single, "No Surprise." The North Carolina native and his band dish up a slice of life, pointing out that the people on the unemployment lines are actually their neighbors, and it really hits home.

But, in the process of stirring up all that emotion, the video also kiiinda makes it look like the members of Daughtry are cursed. Joe Factory Worker is just pulling into work on a normal morning. Daughtry drives by, and Joe gets a pink slip. Cut to drummer Joey Barnes flirting with a waitress. He flashes her a wry smile, and before you know it, her boss is screaming in her face and pointing at the door. Later in the video she runs into guitarist Josh Steely on the street, just before discovering that her husband is nowhere to be found. Sounds a little fishy, right?

Of course it's not. Daughtry are just inserting themselves into everyday American problems to lend a little weight to their colossal new rocker, "No Surprise," directed by Nathan Cox. Between recession-inspired vignettes, the band slays on a U2 scale, blasting their message of hope from the top of a deserted quarry.

+ Watch the world premiere video for Daughtry's "No Surprise," and get psyched for Leave This Town, a collaboration with Richard Marx and members of Nickelback, OneRepublic, Lifehouse and The Click Five.

As you may recall, Tuesday's Buzz Bites included this item: Gavin Rossdale, who continues to be inexplicably, unmanageably studly, has just released a solo video that uses the oldest trick in the book to up his man-babe factor. It stars his and Gwen Stefani’s 2-year-old son Kingston. Well, that wasn't quite true.

It turns out, first of all, that Gavin Rossdale's studliness needs no upping. The ex-Bush beefcake is topless for half of the video in question, and he's in better shape than most sculptures. Secondly, Kingston is hardly a star, but he does flash his smushy, sweet little celebaby face at the 2:23 mark.

Now, on to the business at hand: Gavin Rossdale's "Forever May You Run" video is awesome on a variety of levels. For one thing, It includes excessive running, and dude kiiinda runs like Steven Seagal. No offense Gavin. You look great.

Next, Gavin's new video incorporates themes from all of your favorite movies. It opens with an angry Jerry Maguire-ish corporate walk-out, fades into a Forrest Gump running montage, which gives way to a dangerous Lord Of The Rings mountain scenario and culminates in a Hillside Singers-style '70s Coke commercial (which is sort of like a movie).

The song itself is classic Brit-rock. Soft sentimental verses lead into anthemic choruses, which in turn erupt into thumping minor-chord bridges with off-kilter tempos and searing, reverbed guitar solos. Think Snow Patrol + Oasis / U2, only topless, ripped, and sprinting through a busy intersection. Got it? Good. Now watch.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome (FINALLY) to Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown!!! Green Day fans, after five long years of waiting, your ship has finally come in. "Know Your Enemy" is an eight-camera punk extravaganza with towering flames, panic-stricken guitar scream and turbo editing action from the jump, right up to the very end.

Filmed in downtown L.A. and directed by "Pork And Beans" mastermind Mathew Cullen, "Know Your Enemy" is a statement to the world -- as if it still needs one! -- that Green Day is a really, really, really big deal. Like U2 big. Dead serious. Watch the world-premiere MTV premiere event, right here on Buzzworthy!

So, I got the inside scoop on Ida Maria's Discover & Download interview from a producer on the show. Turns out your Topshop tour guide showed up at MTV, pretty much straight from the hospital, where she'd been receiving treatment for injuries related to falling down. I don't know much beyond that, but I do know that she toughed it out and pulled off the feature, even though she had a massive black eye. Her totally paraphrased, zoned-out reaction to the whole situation was, "Well? Um? I'll just do it in me sunglasses?" What a badass.

I'm really glad she had those shades handy, because she managed to answer a few very important questions that I'd been wondering about. For one thing, she reveals the meaning of "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked." Apparently it means that she wishes the entire male population of the world was completely naked. All of the time. Sounds like a super awkward and floppy time to me, but then again, I'm not exactly a smart-mouthed British rock star, so what do I know?

Another thing: why does "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked" video look so much like Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out?" Because they were both directed by award-winning Swede, Jonas Odell (I'm From Barcelona, U2), obviously.

Finally, is it a bad idea to drink before a show? Ida Maria says ... YES! So, don't do it. Even if you're super-thirsty. All those pervy details and more are waiting for you in the exclusive interview clip. Watch it below and click here to download a free MP3 of "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked!"

Major news! With Eminem's sixth album, Relapse, around the corner (it's due May 19), and the accompanying single, "We Made You," just days from release, we nabbed a super-exclusive interview with the man who has become hip-hop's most notorious living spitter.

We catch up with Em after a five-year hiatus from the spotlight -- a hiatus during which he's battled addiction, lost Kim to a second divorce and lost his best friend, DeShaun "Proof" Holton to gun violence. But Marshall Mathers is a survivor. We've known that from day one, when he broke out of the obscurity portrayed in 8 Mile to establish himself as a force to be reckoned with in the rap game. In other words, he's seen too much in this life to let tragedy disrupt his flow.

In the clip below, that same force -- now a flat-out legend -- checks in from the set of "We Made You," the Relapse single slated for an MTV premiere on Tuesday (April 7). From the comfort of a chair next to a console that looks like it could be part of the Star Trek set, what looks like a brown-haired (!!!) Em, minus the baby fat, fills us in on his choice to re-enlist the services of video director Joseph Kahn (Britney Spears, Chris Brown, 50 Cent, U2). Apparently the "Without Me" director is particularly attuned to the essence of Eminem, making him the perfect choice to guide Em out of hiatus and into a fresh video incarnation of his trademark sound.

Em also gets into the psychology of "We Made You," revealing it to be a mind game designed to seduce every woman alive. Watch, love and get hyped for Eminem's exclusive MTV video premiere of "We Made You" on Tuesday!
