Next up on our docket of poolside shows is Boys Like Girls, the emo band known for their hook-heavy hit “The Great Escape.” And for tearing a page out of the How To Be A Hot Rocker Handbook (which doesn’t exist but really should), because the boys looked tight and right, rockin’ the black skinny jeans in the middle of the desert like they were born to do it. Kim Stoltz introed the Boston boys, who then proceeded to rock the scantily clad crowd at the Palms pool with their amped-up power pop. Lead hottie Martin Johnson worked the crowd like a seasoned pro, while John Keefe nearly destroyed the drumkit. And all of ‘em managed to maintain righteous, ruling rock hair. The only that would’ve made the show even more perfect would’ve been if they’d have lept in the pool, clothes, guitar and all. Oh well. There’s always next year. Anyway, check out their video, "The Great Escape" here. We can't stop singing it.

And watch the entire six-song live poolside set here.

Just in case you weren't there, check out Kevin Michael performing "It Don't Make Any Difference To Me" live from the Palms. Then watch the entire show and get photos of the event.

Why yes, Josh Homme. We DO see you playing poker next to our office at The Palms! Guess he still had some chips left after the Rolling Stone celebrity poker tournament earlier today. Find out more about his poker strategy here. Stack 'em high, buddy!

Even if you don't recognize their name, chance are (get it? "chances"? Vegas!? Sorry. All the heavily oxygenated air is getting to us.) you definitely know that irresistibly catchy whistle of the Swedish indie band's breakout hit, "Young Folks." And we're off to go catch Peter Bjorn & John live set by the pool. We'll return with stories and snaps!

It's amazing how quickly this spot (being The Palms, of course) filled up. We're talkin' double capacity in, like 12 hours, though no one really keeps time in Vegas; it simply ISN'T done! And now the joint is jumpin' with wall-to-wall celebs. And speaking of... we just stopped by Chris Brown's rehearsal. Of COURSE we could tell you what happened, but we'd be on the next flight back home for spillin' the secret sauce. So... let's just say he's definitely gonna deliver the goods when he performs on the VMAs Sunday night. We also spotted Lil Wayne backstage, protected by a bodyguard who's about 17 times his size. And we espied Boys Like Girls' Martin Johnson, fresh off the stage of his poolside set, cooing over a police guard dog. Ka-ching!

If you were rambin' and gamblin' your way through The Palms right now you'd see Pete Wentz working his way through the buffet (check out this video of him showing you the way the Vegas buffet is done), Sean William Scott beating off admirers with a stick and Cee-Lo Green of Gnarls Barkley pulling slots. All this and the show is still a day away. Oh, and you'd have spotted all of Gym Class Heroes sitting in front of a row of slots for the quintessential Vegas-style photo opp. One female fan who was on the scene was shaking so hard when she asked Travis for a photo that we're surprised she didn't drop her camera.

It's just the tip of the more-famous-than-necessary iceberg. With 50 Cent, Angels & Airwaves and a slew of others throwing parties tonight there might not be any stars left for the night sky.

We like Boys Like Girls so much that we're takin' a break from celeb stalking to check out their live set by the pool and scream along to "The Great Escape." Woot! We'll bring back some video footage too for your poor souls who can't make it. We'll pour some water out for you too. Be back soon!

There’s hot, and then there’s poolside by The Palms hot. And THEN there’s Kevin Michael playing live poolside at the Palms hot. Yesterday afternoon we checked out his live set, and you better believe we're glad we did. It was midday-Vegas hot (the hottest kinda hot there is), but his soulful voice cooled us off faster than a dip in the water that surrounded us. The young stunner (he’s just 22) rocked us with his instant-classic hit “It Don’t Make Any Difference To Me.” And he got quite up close and personal with the bikinied babes in the audience when he came down off the stage and got right up in our faces. Plus, we got straight treated to some sick beatboxing by his keyboardist, Taylor McFerrin (son of Bobby!). He kicked out a few slow jams and kept us laughing with his cleverly turned phrases – think Gym Class Heroes-style lyrics meets John Legend's sweet-as-honey pipes. Is it any surprise that he’s down with Wyclef, who’s featured on his first single? Anyway, we couldn’t get enough of Kevin Michael and his ‘froed-out, fresh style. By the time we left the stage, the only thing he left behind was us wanting more… and counting the days ‘til his album finally drops.

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington can check poker off the list of what he's done since arriving at the Palms. We just called his bluff and spotted him raising the stakes at a three-card poker table near the lobby.Speaking of poker, check out the tables: sweet! We are so runnin' this show.

Boys Like Girls like lunch apparently. We spotted them checking out the menu at 24/7 Cafe at the Palms. We hope they tried the seafood Cobb -- shiz's bangin'.
