Welcome to Buzzworthy's "The Week In Pop," where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests, and TV performances by your favorite pop stars and more (so you don't have to).

This week, Tyler, The Creator unleashes Wolf (catch him on Thursday's "Late Show With David Letterman," and watch him play "Felicia The Goat" in this Mountain Dew ad), and New Kids On The Block (who appear on "The View" Wednesday) release their sixth studio album, 10. Meanwhile, the defunct Rilo Kiley curate some great unreleased material, B-sides, and rarities for their RKives collection, and Alkaline Trio drop their ninth full-length record, My Shame Is True. Over on TV, MTV Artist To Watch Jessie Ware guests on Thursday's "VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live With Carrie Keagan," and tune in to MTV.com on Friday to catch her livestreamed set from Webster Hall at 9 p.m. ET. The week caps off with Phoenix as the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live."

Tyler, The Creator; New Kids On The Block, Rilo Kiley + Alkaline Trio release albums; watch Jessie Ware's Webster Hall concert Friday on MTV.com in this edition of The Week In Pop.

NEW ALBUM RELEASES

Tyler, The CreatorWolf: For every controversy Odd Future and Tyler, The Creator have conjured, one thing he does do is live up to is his name. Tyler continues to be inventive on his dark, new effort, which addresses such personal issues as his absentee father and the death of his grandmother. Watch the NSFW "Domo 23" video, where his rap boasts land him in the wrestling ring. The clip ends by juxtaposing a clip of "Bimmer" (part of the song trilogy "Partyisntover/Campfire/Bimmer" that features Lætitia Sadier of French indie rock group Stereolab), where he likens his paramour to a BMW with harmonies from Frank Ocean (Ocean is also featured on "Slater"). Others from the OFWGKTA crew, including Earl Sweatshirt ("Rusty") and Hodgy Beats ("Jamba"), make appearances, too. Also check out "IFHY" with Pharrell and "Treehome95" featuring Erykah Badu.

+ New Kids On The Block10: For NKOTB's sixth studio album, strangely titled 10, Donnie Wahlberg told MTV News that the band has returned to their roots. "We're spilling our guts with our singing. We really went back to our vocal roots. Everybody sang and everybody's a part of it. It's more of a traditional vocal group record," he said. To wit, check out "Survive You"'s barbershop quartet vocal harmonies (or in the New Kids' case: quintet). Then, there's the hip-hop-tinged "Miss You More," the R&B-influenced "Jealous (Blue)," the dancefloor-ready "Crash," and the poppier "Now or Never." Also, watch "Remix (I Like The)," where the guys party it up with actress Artemis Pebdani.

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.

Watch Alkaline Trio's new video, "I Wanna Be A Warhol."

Alkaline Trio contemplate art in their "I Wanna Be A Warhol" video.

Transforming into a wall painting seems like it would have a whole bunch of pros and cons. On the one hand, particularly if you were an Andy Warhol piece like the one punk veterans Alkaline Trio are singing about in their new video for "I Wanna Be A Warhol," you'd probably be worth a lot of money. Maybe you'd get a good price for yourself at an auction? On the other hand, it has to get a little boring up there. Not unless, we suppose, you're super head over heels in love and nothing else matters besides being close to the object of your affection. At least we think that's the central idea of the song here. Metaphors are hard.
