Hark! Ariana the Christmas Kitten approaches!
You may have thought that Christmas' only mascot was some pudgy old bearded dude in red, but Ariana Grande's adorable little winter kitten getup in this Instagram photo makes a strong case for a second. Imagine: Ari as the Christmas Kitten, wishing you and yours a MEOOOOOW-RRY CHRISTMAS! (Also, does this mean she has a pair of cat ear accessories for every holiday? Loves it.)
Just think if Ariana's feline alter ego were an IRL holiday staple! I mean, who wouldn't want to stay up all night waiting for the "Santa Baby" singer to arrive to deliver gifts made out of doilies and wishes and sprinkles and dreams?? This needs to HAPPEN! It's official: We have a NEW X-mas wish.
Like, OK fine, if not Christmas then we're at LEAST willing to settle on some sort of other holiday icon job for Ariana. WAIT! Is Arbor Day already taken? No? Then how about the magical, mystical Ariana Arbor Kitty for 2014! Who's with us?

Ariana wants a ton of stuff for Christmas.
Just because Ariana Grande is a celebrity who probably already has everything doesn't mean she can't make her Christmas list and check it twice! And if you want to know what's on that Christmas list, all you have to do is listen to Ariana's new cover of "Santa Baby" featuring vocals by her "Victorious" co-star Liz Gillies. Per the jazzy holiday song, Ariana's in the market for a ring, a light blue convertible, a yacht, and a TON of stuff from Tiffany. (Oh that's funny, US TOO.)
Anyway, we think Ari totally deserves everything on her Christmas list. I mean, hasn't she been an exemplary lady all year? She's sweet and kind, and let's not forget about her perma-"I'M A GOOD GIRL, SEE?" wardrobe!
So, even though Ariana's all but guaranteed a monstrous Christmas bounty this year, we've come up with a few last-minute suggestions so she can REALLY cash in.
1.) The deed to platinum mine: Taken directly from the the lyrics to Ariana's "Santa Baby," a platinum mine seems like a small token of appreciation, doesn't it? I mean, the girl has brought us songs like "Baby I" and "Almost Is Never Enough." Surely an unlimited amount of platinum is the least we can give to say "Thanks for all the slow-grooving."
That could tooootally be Ariana all up in that mine!

Ariana Grande has FINALLY let her hair down, guys. LITERALLY.
We appreciate it when celebs have "uniforms." For Janelle Monáe, it's usually the black-and-white tux situation; for Adele, it's almost always the long black caftan. But, for Ariana Grande? It's maybe-not-always-but-BASICALLY-always the highest ponytail to ever exist. Ever! (Or are there two sometimes? Unclear!)
Because, like, can you EVER think of a time where Ari wasn't rocking large fractions of her hair up? (See: Exhibit A, Exhibit B, Exhibit C.) No, no, you cannot ever think of such a time.

Wanna get your man to stay a day longer, Ariana?! Here are a few suggestions!
Ariana Grande's in a bit of a pickle! According to her new R&B-tinged holiday song "Snow In California" (from her forthcoming Christmas Kisses EP, dropping Dec. 10), she needs a West Coast Christmas miracle (and some inclement weather) to delay her travel-prone man's upcoming flight.
Anyway, we know what you're thinking -- this song HAS to be about the "Love Is Everything" singer's famous, always-traveling boyfriend, Nathan Sykes! And honestly, the thought Ariana and Nathan being apart on Christmas is just plain UNACCEPTABLE.
But not to worry! We've devised a list of six foolproof ways Ariana can "trick"
her boyfriend into sticking an extra day (sans freak winter storms).
1.) Cook him a delicious dinner that has to "marinate" for 48 hours: These insanely time-consuming recipes exist, you know! For example, chef Chuck Hughes' "Roasted Turkey with Turkey Meatballs" recipe -- you've gotta brine that bird for 48 hours! Please note that "total prep time" for this recipe is 54 hr 50 min. BOOM.

Ariana Grande's "Love Is Everything" teaches us EVERYTHING!
We can learn a lot from Ariana Grande. In recent weeks, Ari's taught us all kinds of things, namely that it's OK to still not be over "Gossip Girl" going off the air, and that sometimes you just gotta rock a red, sparkly, Jessica Rabbit-esque ball gown while delivering a standing ovation-earning performance at the AMAs.
Today, however, the "Last Christmas" chanteuse has released the full version of her latest holiday tune, "Love Is Everything," and guess what? It's gospel choirs, sleigh bells, chants, and... MORE IMPORTANT LESSONS!! Like, a free class in holiday domination 101! So, grab yo' pencils: Here are five holiday lessons we've learned from Ariana Grande's "Love Is Everything."
1.) The gift of love is better than all the Chanel bags in the world: "The truth is, your heart is the biggest gift you can give anyone."
2.) Love is FREE: "As a matter of fact it won't cost you much; it's in your heart you got it right there."

Ariana's crush on Chuck Bass is STILL RAGING!
We're not gonna lie and tell you that it was easy for us to cope with the loss of "Gossip Girl." When the final season ended last year, we felt sad, lost, lonely, and confused, and that's a feeling that lasted for a long while. We're only now finally coming back to our normal selves, but, judging by this photo of Ariana Grande pining away for Ed Westwick's Chuck Bass, girlfriend is clearly not over the loss! #OneDayAtATime
The American Music Awards performer took to Instagram to share her encounter with everyone's favorite bone-structurally blessed douchebag: "moments with chuck." Sure, he's just on some TV screen somewhere, but you know, you take what you can get.
Now before y'all get your panties in a bunch, obviously Ariana's just being dramatic here, and doesn't actually wish that Chuck would climb out of the TV and whisk her away on his private jet to his private abode in Monaco. (That would be us.) We have a feeling that Little
A is totally content enough with her new relationship with The Wanted's Nathan Sykes. Which reminds us, how many "GG" marathons do you think she's made Nathan endure so far? #xoxo

Ariana Grande shines in her "Love Is Everything" snippet.
Well, SOMEONE'S on the fast track to take over the pop music game -- nay, world. And by "someone," we obviously mean Ariana Grande.
Just hours after her explosive, earth-shattering, standing ovation-earning performance at last night's American Music Awards, the Best New Artist winner has released a short snippet of her new holiday song, "Love Is Everything." And not to sound reductive or generalist, but it truly is everything.

Taylor Swift scored four AMAs!
+ Taylor Swift (who took home four awards, including Artist Of The Year) and Justin Timberlake (who scored three, including two different Favorite Male Artist honors) were the big winners at last night's 2013 American Music Awards. One Direction and Rihanna each received two awards. See the complete list of winners. (MTV News)
+ Along with big AMA wins, there were even bigger performances. Watch Lady Gaga and "President" R. Kelly get down for "Do What U Want," Katy Perry perform a geisha-themed rendition of "Unconditionally," and Ariana Grande get a standing ovation from Mother Monster during "Tattooed Heart." (MTV News)
+ Speaking of Gaga, she looked mighty fine draped in Versace at the AMAs. Over the weekend, she was named the new face of the company. Check out her fresh-off-the-presses Versace ad. (MTV Style)
+ Watch HAIM slay during their musical guest slot on "Saturday Night Live." They performed "The Wire" and "Don't Save Me." (Idolator)
+ One Direction have announced their 2014 North American stadium tour dates. The lads, whose Midnight Memories album drops today, will kicks things off on Aug. 1 in Toronto and wrap up in Miami on Oct. 5. (Just Jared Jr.)

Happy 2013 American Music Awards! Ohhhh man, what a night it's been. Over the last three hours, we've seen SO many good things. (We also may or may not have a headache from shoving our faces too close to the TV, but that's neither here nor there.)
All busted eyesight aside, the only thing that matters tonight is Lady Gaga riding into the AMAs on a friggin' white horse (best entrance ever??), Katy Perry opening the show with a "Memoirs Of A Geisha"-esque "Unconditionally" performance, Justin Timberlake tearing the stage apart with a jazz 'n' blues rendition of "I Can't Drink You Away," Lady Gaga
making babies on a desk performing "Do What U Want" with R. Kelly, and Miley Cyrus making us cry all the cat tears (KITTEHHHS) with her "Wrecking Ball" performance. Like we said, no more eyeballs. More like cryballs.
Anyway, now that we've had a chance to process the AMAs, let's relive the night! Here are 12 AMA-zing things that happened at the 2013 American Music Awards.
1.) When Katy Perry dressed up like a glamorous geisha for "Unconditionally."
2.) When One Direction made us feel all the #feels and cry all the #crys during "Story Of My Life."
3.) When Ariana Grande turned the AMAs into a Motown/soul paradise.
4.) When Ke$ha and Pitbull turned the AMAs into a hoedown during "Timber." And yes, there was copious fringe and "Cotton-Eyed Joe" two-stepping.
