NEW ALBUM RELEASES
+ Drake, Nothing Was The Same: Drake excellently brought emo into rap, and indeed, nothing was the same. To wit, there's "Too Much" featuring Sampha. But don't mistake this sensitive side to mean that Drake doesn't still deliver with an edge. Just give the NSFW "Wu-Tang Forever" a listen, or check out the latter half of his "Hold On, We're Going Home"/ "Started From The Bottom" VMA medley for proof.
+ Icona Pop, This Is... Icona Pop: The Swedish duo who gave us the kiss-off gem "I Love It" reach beyond the dance floor on their full-length debut. In addition to the club-ready anthems of "Ready For The Weekend," the NSFW "Girlfriend," and "All Night," Caroline and Aino make an infectious shimmery-pop turn with "Light Me Up."
+ CHVRCHES, The Bones Of What You Believe: The MTV Artist To Watch CHVRCHES have been buzzing long before their official debut. Check out the enigmatic video for "Recover" and their addictive "The Mother We Share" to understand why the Scottish electro-pop trio are worthy of all the hype.
Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.
