Is Cody Simpson becoming Justin Bieber?

Is Cody Simpson becoming Justin Bieber? Survey says... YEP.

As long as we've been pop star experts, we've been more or less convinced that if anyone was going to morph into Justin Bieber, it'd be his (unofficial) 17-year-old protégé, Austin Mahone. I mean, Austin has straight up SAID that Biebs is his musical idol, we're pretty sure that the two singers follow the same shirtless workout routine, and they both got their start on YouTube. What more proof do you need? (Other than that Justin Bieber is also morphing into Vanilla Ice? Never mind -- we got off topic.) But you know what? We may have gotten our pop star wires crossed at some point, because how could we have missed the glaringly obvious new development that CODY SIMPSON, not Austin Mahone, is totally becoming Justin Bieber?! You think we're kidding? LOOK AT THIS PHOTO. It's like looking into a white tank top/hair-spiked mirror!!

Cody Simpson fixates on a gal with "Pretty Brown Eyes" in his new video.

Cody Simpson catapults into summer with his "Pretty Brown Eyes" video.

If you weren't totally ready for summer, then you can thank Cody Simpson's new "Pretty Brown Eyes" video for catapulting you straight into a land filled only with sunshine, pools, bikinis, BBQs, and select other summery activities that we'll need a few more "Intensive Abs" classes to prep for. Though come to think of it, it's definitely summer right now in Australia (where Cody's from) -- so they've probably had more time to hone their beach bodies. UGH, IT'S NOT FAIR.

Meanwhile, French indie electro-pop group Phoenix release their fifth album, Bankrupt!, "American Idol" alum Fantasia adds songwriting to her singing credits for her fourth record, Side Effect Of You (watch her on Wednesday's "VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live With Carrie Keagan"), and Sweden's Junip release their sophomore self-titled effort. On TV, get pumped to witness "Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life" when it premieres Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET on MTV. The week closes with Saturday's "Radio Disney Music Awards": the show will feature performances by Selena Gomez, Cher Lloyd, Cody Simpson, Austin Mahone, Mindless Behavior, and more.

NEW ALBUM RELEASES

+ Snoop LionReincarnated: "There's so much death, there's so much destruction, there's so much mayhem, and there's so much misunderstanding in music. We're losing so many great musicians and we don't love them while they're here. And I want to be loved while I'm here, and the only way to get love is to give love," Snoop Lion states at the onset of his post-Rastafarianism transformation debut, Reincarnated. For his Major Lazer-produced reggae-pop album, Snoop enlists a diverse array of artists. Watch the videos for "Here Comes The King" with Angela Hunte and "No Guns Allowed" with Drake and Snoop's daughter, Cori B., and listen to "Torn Apart" with Rita Ora and "Ashtrays And Heartbreaks" with Miley Cyrus. Also check out the unity track "Lighters Up" with dancehall artists Movado & Popcaan.

+ will.i.am#willpower: For will.i.am's fourth solo album, he makes 15 soon-to-be ubiquitous dance-pop tunes that are jam-packed with star collabs, including a British-accented (!) Britney Spears (watch the "Scream & Shout" remix video with DiddyHit-BoyWaka Flocka Flame, and Lil Wayne), Miley Cyrus ("Fall Down"), Justin Bieber (watch a hologram'd Biebs in the futuristic "#thatpower" video), and 2NE1 with his BEP bandmate apl.de.ap on the YOLO-minded "Gettin' Dumb." Will takes a break from the dance floor for the midtempo, contemplative "The World Is Crazy" with Dante Santiago, "Love Bullets" with Skylar Grey, and album closer "Ghetto Ghetto" with 7-year-old rapper Baby Kaely.

+ PhoenixBankrupt!: The French indie electro-pop band, who recently surprised fans at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with a guest spot from R. Kelly, release the follow-up to their mainstream breakthrough album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. Highlights include the shimmery "SOS In Bel Air" with its infectious chorus, and their synth-laden single "Entertainment." The sprawling title track boasts lush instrumentation before the strutty, humorously titled "Drakkar Noir" ushers in back-to-back with "Chloroform," which deals with the more noxious side of love.

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.

Cody Simpson's tour bus has CODY SIMPSON AND CUPCAKES ON IT! We're sold!

Here's the thing about Cody Simpson: The dude is only 16 years old (we'll wait a couple years to publicly say he's cute... but... yeah), and yet, he's got a totally pimped-out tour bus, fully equipped with bunk beds, cool musician tech things we don't exactly know the name of, and best of all, an unlimited supply of cupcakes! Sadly, we didn't acquire this info via a one-on-one bonding sesh with Cody (rain check, bb?), but Cody did gave our pals at "10 on Top" a private tour of his mobile digs, and naturally, we've got a sneak peek right here.

Watch a sneak peek of Cody Simpson's "10 on Top" episode after the jump.
