NEW ALBUM RELEASES

+ Hunter Hayes, Encore: Rising country star Hunter Hayes has been making serious waves recently, what with co-writing songs for Rascal Flatts, touring with Carrie Underwood, and nabbing three 2013 Grammy nominations. But you have to figure he was destined to do big things -- after all, he DID cut his first album at the age of nine (!!). (It also doesn't hurt that he's also absolutely adorbz.) The now-drinking-aged phenom is re-releasing his major label album, this time as Encore. The deluxe record is aptly named as it gives his debut eponymous album's release a new shine, including songs from the debut with eight new and re-recorded tracks. Check out his new romantic and anthemic track, "Light Me Up," which he's offering as a free download, and watch his "I Want Crazy" performance from the 2013 CMT Awards.

+ Mac MillerWatching Movies With The Sound Off: Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller switches things up for his second studio album, even rapping over the jazz-tinged Pharrell Williams-produced tune "Objects In The Mirror." "What I like to do when I'm writing a song like this is something in my life that happens, I take the emotion," he revealed to "RapFix Live" of the song. Listen to the "Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family" star's NSFW "Watching Movies," where he spits dark rhymes to a foreboding beat, and watch the superhero-themed "S.D.S." video, where Corey Feldman shows up, natch. Also check out "Suplexes Inside Of Complexes And Duplexes" featuring Jay Electronica and "Gees" featuring Schoolboy Q.

Kanye West, Yeezus: If you think fatherhood was going to chill Yeezy out, think again. The innovative provocateur has loads on his mind, and Yeezus aggressively takes the listener on a NSFW, hostile, raging, and ambitious ride on songs like the squalling "New Slaves," "Black Skinhead," "I Am A God," and the pulsating opener "On Sight." And while he may have said "This album is all about giving ... no f---s at all" during his New York City Yeezus listening event, the album showcases exactly the opposite: The inspiration seems more conscious vehement commentary on various perceived injustices than the "eff it" detachment his statement implies.

Watch Kate Nash's "OMYGOD!" video.

Kate Nash tries to forget an ex with a retro pool party in her "OMYGOD!" video.

Have you ever had what should be the best day ever -- hanging out with friends, swimming in the ocean, sipping on daiquiris, scoping out cute boys... you know, just a typical summer Saturday. Only you can't enjoy any of it because you just broke up with somebody, or worse, somebody just broke up with YOU. And you know that you shouldn't miss them, but ugh, the more you want to erase them, the more they're all you can think about. And judging by her sad pool party in the new video for "OMYGOD!" (the latest single from Girl Talk), British pop player Kate Nash knows exactly what we're talking about.

Watch Kate Nash perform "OHMYGOD" and "3AM" at Artist To Watch Live In NYC.

Watch Kate Nash take over NYC's Webster Hall.

British songstress Kate Nash's transformation from indie popper to BADASS rocker caught us off guard at first, but now that we've seen her killer performance at MTV's Artist to Watch "Live In NYC" concert, we 100 percent love and support her edgy metamorphosis, best heard on her new punk-tinged album Girl Talk. And yes, women who own bunny rabbits named Fluffy can still be badass (try to tell them they can't and see what happens). So, now you have three options: Listen to Kate Nash's superb Girl Talk from start to finish, re-watch her bass-only performance of "3AM" at Buzzworthy's studios, or watch her perform "3AM," "OMYGOD!," "Sister," "Oh," and "Death Proof" live from her entire "Live In NYC" Webster Hall set (or, if it were possible, all three at once). Rock out to "OHMYGOD!" and "3AM" right here, and look to MTV Hive for more!

Welcome to Buzzworthy's "The Week In Pop," where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests, and TV performances by your favorite pop stars and more (so you don't have to).

This week, we're super excited for the weekend... Wait, that's pretty much every week, but this one's extra special because Justin Timberlake returns to "Saturday Night Live" to serve both as host and musical guest! As far as the rest of the week goes, preorders for 3OH!3's OMENS begin Tuesday (it officially streets June 18), and the premiere of their video for "Back To Life" hits, too, via The Warner Sound's YouTube channel (also check them out on Buzzworthy, recording Omens' "Youngblood"). In new album releases, Kate Nash gives us her third studio album, Girl Talk and enigmatic buzz band Rhye drop their stunning debut album, Woman. Meanwhile, Nine Inch NailsTrent Reznor and wife Mariqueen Maandig's How To Destroy Angels make their major-label debut, The Cave Singers release their fourth effort, and O Music Awards Unboxed Live alums Javelin drop their sophomore album.

Kate Nash, Rhye release albums and Justin Timberlake hosts and performs on SNL in The Week In Pop.

NEW ALBUM RELEASES

Kate NashGirl Talk: When mtvU caught up with Kate Nash last month, the proud bunny rabbit owner dished on her new album. "I just had the coolest time making it in L.A. for two months with [Grammy award-winning producer] Tom Biller, and it really was the best experience of my whole life," she said. Her third album showcases her bad-assitude on songs such as the jangling "Fri-end?" and the pop-punk gem "3AM," which encapsulates the insomniac torture that befalls the recently heartbroken. Watch the video for the surf-punk song, "Death Proof," and see Kate perform an acoustic rendition of "3AM" on Buzzworthy Live.

+ RhyeWoman: When Rhye's tracks first started circling the interwebs, their identity was as mysterious as their disarmingly gorgeous, crushing-out sound, which recalls the sultry cool of Sade, swathed in lush, dreamy R&B and orchestral-yet-synth-tipped pop. The duo behind the romantic, sensuous vibes are producer/multi-instrumentalists Robin Hannibal and Mike Milosh. On their debut, the latter's indelible, silky vocals glide through the swooning "Open," "The Fall" (grab Rhye's free mix, which also includes "3 Days"), and the aching sigh of "Last Dance." Woman should come with a warning label: "Make-out-inducing."

How To Destroy AngelsWelcome Oblivion: Just last week, Trent Reznor announced Nine Inch Nails will tour this year. No word yet if new music will follow, but NIN fans may dig his experimental How To Destroy Angels project, which includes his wife and singer Mariqueen Maandig, Atticus Ross, and Rob Sheridan. On their sophomore album (and first for a major label), songs such as the soulful "How Long?" and "On The Wing" are awash in adventurous electronica, and the material also displays lighter touches, like on the minimalistic "Ice Age."

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.

Kate Nash performs "3AM" live for Buzzworthy!

Watch Kate Nash's Buzzworthy Live acoustic performance of "3AM."

Over the years, Brit-pop darling and quirk poster girl Kate Nash has warmed our hearts with her ultra-confessional, piano-driven ballads. We still swoon when her bluntly honest breakup song "Foundations" comes on shuffle, and "Do-Wah-Doo" still makes us want to quit our day jobs to become sexy '60s flight attendants. Now, with two critically acclaimed albums under her (probably consigned) belt -- 2007's breakout Made Of Bricks and 2010's My Best Friend Is You -- Kate is back with plans for a brand-new record, Girltalk, dropping March 5. And in even better news, she recently stopped by Buzzworthy's studios to perform an acoustic (well, all-bass) rendition of Girltalk's first single, "3AM." Check it out below!
