J. Cole spits fire about getting the props he's due on "Forbidden Fruit" featuring Kendrick Lamar.

J. Cole spits fire about getting the props he's due on "Forbidden Fruit."

J. Cole is rapping like he's got something to prove on "Forbidden Fruit," the next single from his forthcoming sophomore album, Born Sinner, out June 18. But why such a chip on his shoulder? As one of the premier rhymers and producers in the game, along with personal co-signs from Jay-Z, you would THINK that dude had absolutely zero reason to feel insecure. But on this new track, J outright demands the respect he feels he's earned, and even enlists the help of the Hottest MC In The Game of 2012, Kendrick Lamar. Y'know, just for that extra push.

Kendrick Lamar buries the past in his new "B**** Don't Kill My Vibe" video.

Even in Kendrick Lamar's brief time in the spotlight, he's managed to grab us with his unbeatable lyrics and rhyming ability, and meticulously planned videos like "Poetic Justice" (no wonder Lady Gaga wanted to work with him). Now, in his new "B**** Don't Kill My Vibe" video, K-Dot's attending a funeral with family and friends... but there's a little more than meets the eye.

Robin Thicke gives us a future-club vibe on the will.i.am produced "Give It To You."

Robin Thicke explores a futuristic club vibe on the will.i.am-produced "Give It To You."

Robin Thicke doesn't strike us as a club-hopping, neon lights, up-all-night kind of dude. Nope, he seems more like an "ultrasmooth lounge/refined bourbon" type -- just listen to "Blurred Lines" if you don't believe us. But our snap judgments could never stop a talented singer like Robin from KILLING IT in all genres, which is all too clear on his new will.i.am-produced jam "Give It To You" (featuring 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar), from his forthcoming Blurred Lines album. But enough talking; let's dance!

Miguel and Kendrick Lamar chat up some girls during a tipsy night in "How Many Drinks? (Remix)."

Miguel and Kendrick Lamar have a tipsy night in "How Many Drinks? (Remix)."

Neo-soul singer Miguel's second album, Kaleidoscope Dream, was released around the same time last fall as Kendrick Lamar's sophomore disc, Good Kid, m.A.A.d City, so it almost feels serendipitous that these two breakthrough artists of 2012 would collabo. On his latest single, "How Many Drinks? (Remix)," Miguel teams up with Kendrick for a night out on the town where they get a lil' tipsy, chat up some ladies, and try to schedule a sexy sleepover. Sure, you want to judge, sure, but how many of y'all wouldn't go home with Miguel and/or Kendrick?
