Welcome to Buzzworthy's "The Week In Pop," where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests, and TV performances by your favorite pop stars and more (so you don't have to).

This week, Atoms For Peace (aka the supergroup side project of Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea) release their debut album. Also, Gold Fields drop their first full-length record (they perform on Wednesday's "Jimmy Kimmel Live"), and Swedish synth-pop duo Sally Shapiro drop their third full-length effort. Meanwhile, fellow Swedes Shout Out Louds mark the 10-year anniversary of their debut with the release of their fourth album, Optica. Over on TV, find out who will make it through rounds 3 and 4 of the Vegas semifinals on "American Idol" this Wednesday and Thursday. The week closes out with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis as musical guests on "Saturday Night Live."

Atoms For Peace, Gold Fields release albums; Macklemore & Ryan Lewis perform on "SNL" in The Week In Pop.

NEW ALBUM RELEASES

+ Atoms For PeaceAMOK: Electro-rock outfit Atoms For Peace comprises Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea, frequent Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker, and percussionist Mauro Refosco. The group formed after Yorke's solo tour for The Eraser, where the band gelled so well that they hit the recording studio, and Atoms For Peace was born. The nine-song Amok is their official debut album; check out "Judge Jury And Executioner."

+ Gold FieldsBlack Sun: Originally the Aussie quintet mined more noir country stylings, but they shifted musical gears when they wrote "Treehouse," which took them in a percussive and dancey direction (watch them perform "Treehouse" live). The song appears both on their EP from last year and on their new Black Sun 11-song debut. Stream Black Sun here on Buzzworthy before it drops tomorrow, and also take a look at their black-and-white, tribal-themed "Dark Again" video.

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.
